You’re probably right, Rockwood and HV could be a good game too.

Wartburg or Oneida one or the other will be region 1 if not both. Hampton , S.Greene , and HV are the only ones left from old region 1 2A. C. Gap will go to region1 for sure and TSSAA won’t have a 4 team region unless they absolutely have to.

If we were to beat Hampton and SG beats HV that would put Hampton, Cosby , and HV all in a 3 way tie for 2nd at 2-2. If HV beats SG and Hampton beats Cosby that would put Hampton, SG,, and HV all tied for first at 3-1. The tie breakers would make my head hurt so ill let someone else figure that out. I dont think there is anyway Cosby gets out of the 4 seed even if we did manage to beat Hampton.

Y’all know I think very highly of a lot of people in Hampton. Lots of people involved with the football program up there that I consider friends....that being said if we drop to 1A like we should Hampton will not be on our schedule for a while. 1. We’re not where we need to be to right now to play a team like Hampton if we don’t have to. 2. That’s a long drive to go see uknoit, pujo, and a bunch of Lunsfords! Lol

North Greene was actually AAA las year and it looks like after corrected numbers Rockwood will stay in AA, So Cosby will technically be the only one AA loses. We should have never been in AA to begin with honestly.

I'll be shocked if Hampton makes em look like cupcakes. They arent terrible, and are VERY physical. Can Hampton beat em? Absolutely , it wont be an easy game for em by any stretch though.

I watched Mo East and Volunteer play Friday night. They’re big and rough and got a lot of kids that get on the field. That last part may give them a slight edge. I think uknoit already touched on it. They will play 25-30 different kids all night while Hampton may play 16-17.

you about have to be 3 scores better to get em there! I think you MAY be right though. I wouldnt be surprised to see it be closer though.

Big time rival game ,and West Greene aint that bad. SG missed a couple opportunities to blow it open though. They seriously were a couple plays in the first half away from running away with it.

I agree, I don’t think SG is as good as they were last year up front but #1 can go! I believe y’all can win enough battles in the trenches to contain him but if you don’t he will hurt ya.

We’ve been in AA since 2012 I think. We’ve been either the smallest or really close since about 2014. We were actually at about 410 kids in 2012 due to an abnormally large class we had come through. Been below 380 ever since. Been below 350 the last 2-3 years.

If y’all can make #1 somehow be mediocre or have a below average game I think Dogs win convincingly...maybe 14-21 points. If #1 plays his normal game I think it’s really close. He’s a difference maker for the Rebels for sure. They will go where he takes em.

2A has killed our confidence and our numbers. Smallest school or second smallest school in AA for almost 10 seasons. 4 teams in our region that are always tough very good teams beat us down year after year kids just don’t want to do that after so long. Greeneville (SG) Johnson City/Elizabeth (HV) Kingsport (SN) and Elizabethton (Hampton) are a far cry from Cosby. Those schools look a lot different than ours.

I feel like we would have beat SN this year anyway so we are the 4th best in our region. Playing Meigs in our first playoff appearance in 8 years won’t be ideal but we’re gonna get as playoff ready as we can.

Yes..playoffs would still be tough but we compete for district titles in that district. Cloudland is the only team there that beats us regularly. We typically can beat the rest of em and we can get Cloudland occasionally. We normally can’t even sniff a district win in AA!

Cosby will go district 1 1A I would think. District 1A should look like this Cosby Cloudland Unaka Hancock North Greene Jellico District 2A Coalfield Harriman Oliver Springs Oakdale Sunbright Greenback Rockwood Midway Just my opinion but I’d say this is it except Jellico could go district 2 if they needed to but 2 is usually crowded. Rockwood could choose to stay AA as well.

I’m very proud of em! This bunch could win some games with just a little depth and some more kids to practice against...especially if we were in a 1A region where we belong. SG definitely has the best player we’ve seen so far and probably the overall best team. HV was a little better up front defensively I thought. We played them with a VERY injury depleted team that night though.

I hate the COVID win cause I think we may actually have had a chance to get SN this year and win our way into the playoffs. We tried to reschedule but we couldn’t work it out on either side and TSSAA said it didn’t matter that we had the win anyway. Either way I’m excited that we’re getting to play this much football. We have played every game dressing 20 or less kids and have been in every game but 2 going into the 4th quarter and those two had to fight us for a half. We aren’t going to be much of a match for Meigs but they will know we’ve been there. We may 12 kids that play harder than anyone they’ve seen this year. Unfortunately the experience and depth just isn’t there for us this year.

Heck Alcoa has an airport and could have been 2A this last go around!

How do you view the number turned in? or can you yet?

A lot of teams will be lucky to get 50 yards against Hampton. Y’all will be alright. We have some serious work to do up front. We’ve got a a few athletes but we’re completely rebuilding up front.

Y’all are good on defense in your front 7. Better weather and we may had been able to take advantage of your secondary a bit had we been able to keep our QB upright. Landers were bringing the heat at us most of the night. Seriously y’all ain’t bad. #4 is a ball player. Hard nosed typical Cloudland youngin, and y’our young guys play hard with no fear. We had two early turnovers that forced us to change game plan too early and it sorta got away from us. We never stopped your run game but y’all never broke anything big either. Y’all got 4-5 yards a pop which keeps moving those chains all night. You will still easily win your district and I can see you competing with the 3-4 and maybe even the 2 out of district 2 still.

Theyre AAA..We played em last year, and have played both them and C.Gap quite often
