  1. Passed on your request to Coach Wiggins. Call him at school to confirm. I saw the photos from the ND / Grundy game and they were great.
  2. I would have to tip my hat the the last pair of watergirls and the current pair of watergirls at Notre Dame. Rain or shine, Extreme heat or freezing weather these young ladies are always there, doing their job.
  3. Please take your own advice about sportmanship. On Hartmann's touchdown he committed an unsportsman act by intentially dropping the ball on the tackler Beeler and then turning his head to apparently say something to Beeler while Beeler was getting up. Then after Hartmann tackled Beeler on Beeler's touchdown the back of the end zone replay shows Hartmann clearly reaching up and shoving Beeler's facemask, which by definition, is considered a blow to the head. Beeler's return shove did not even move Hartman's head. The official made a poor call whether you are a Catholic fan or a Webb fan. Your response does not show the sportmanship you mentioned earlier unless you were being sarcastic and insincere. I am not a Catholic or Webb supporter. A bad call is a bad call. They happen all the time. The game is over and the outcome is set. Time for everyone to move on. Catholic and Webb have future games to play this week. Focus on them.
  4. Go to TSSAA home page, click on handbook, find FOOTBALL on list and click. This takes you to General Classification rules and the tiebreaker procedure begins with B. This process is followed until one team getst 1st, then the process begins again to determine which of the reamining two teams are second.
  5. That is a matter of perspective. I sure your opponents would think it is something bad. I see you can have an opinion but no one else can unless they agree with you.
  6. Just that annoying train whistle!!!!!!!!!
  7. Should be a good game but ND won last year and got scheduled for HOMECOMING this year. Should be interesting when the Irish find out.
  8. You got my point. I was responding to A3scout's comments about ND having advantage of getting more skill players than Meigs because of the size of the Chattanooga area.
  9. Your right. Notre Dame, part of parochial school system with two feeder schools where most of the players come from should have more skill players than Meigs County, a school with a larger student body. Let's see, ND competes with over 17 Public high schools and at least 10 Private high schools including Baylor, McCallie and Boyd Buchanan for their students. Meigs big disadvantage is that they are the only high school in Meigs County. As far as the game goes, I'd say its a toss up.
  10. Prayers from Chattanooga/Soddy Daisy.
  11. Absolutely correct. The verdict was neither guilty or not guilty. The verdict was on appeal that it is a judgement call by an official and so not subject to appeal. remember your the one that make a judgement as to guilty or not. Neither I nor the TSSAA made that determination. I have not seen the tape so I have no idea if he is guilty or not. The comment I have seen is that the official told the coach that Oden "balled his hand into a fist." That is all I know as far as Oden's actions go.
  12. Not really interested but I do take exception to your statement. Yes the appeal has been denied. The verdict was NOT however obviously GUILTY. I doubt the tape was even looked at by TSSAA in the review process because TSSAA said it was a JUDGEMENT CALL and so NOT subject to appeal.
  13. When SD played at Antioch they were missing both starting post players. During the second quarter the only post player with experience injured his ankle and did not return. It was at that point Antioch pulled away for the big score difference. At SD one of the starting post players was back and the injured post player had recovered. Besides Antioch attempted 23 free throws and SD attempted 16. Antioch only made 10.
  14. The game is still on for 7 pm Eastern time tonight at Soddy Daisy.
  15. Not really. I was pleased that SD played as well as they did for as long as they did. Unlike many of you, I'm not in to the trash talk and put downs I see on coacht. I don't put down other teams or their fans. The fact is that SD took 9 players to Antioch and were missing their two starting post players. Antioch's two best scorers are post players. This created a change in matchups on defense. One post was guarded by a wing player who gave up 4 inches in height. SD had 5 players with 3+ years of real experience and the rest on the bench have had limited playing time. Once the post player with experience was injured, his replacement, a sophomore with not that much experience, replaced him and that weakened the defense. The remaining players off the bench, one of whom is under 6 feet tall and the other two who have been in less than 9 games this season total for just a few minutes each game lack game experience. Soddy Daisy is not deep and it showed at Antioch with those two players unavailable for play. I hope SD has a complete team when Antioch comes to play because then I get to see how both teams really match up. Antioch might win or they might not. That is why the game is played. You mentioned three teams that beat Antioch. According to the schedule I found on Coacht, Antioch has only played 5 teams with winning records and has only beaten two, Franklin and SD. I would have been more impressed if Antioch had beaten White's Creek, Hunter's Lane and McGavock but they did not. Antioch is a good basketball team and I look forward to the rematch if SD can field a stronger team than they were able to take to Antioch. If not, Antioch could very well give a repeat performance.
  16. I don't know if thay can match up or not. SD lost to the #7 team in the state, Red Bank, by 5 and they are a very tallented and athletic team also. They had everybody in that game. So I would like to see the match up between a healthy SD and a healthy Antioch and see what happens. I don't think it will be the blowout that this game was but we shall see. Soddy was still reasonably in the game until the injury to the post player.
  17. What are you disagreeing with? That SD was understrength at post which changed defensive matchups? That Antioch is a good team? That if both teams are at full strength the next time they play we might get a better comparison as to how they match up?
  18. Soddy Daisy may or may not be a match for Antioch but there is one thing to consider. Soddy was playing without BOTH starting post players and the only experienced backup at post injured his ankle in the second quarter and did not return. A lot of Antiochs points in the second half came against some inexperience players. Antioch is good but truthfully they played against an understrength SD squad. Hope everybody is available for SD for the rematch to see how both teams really match up.
  19. Game was played last night. final score SD 62 - Hx 47

  21. I am a teacher and this tenure debate is very interesting. However, how does this apply to the topic of this thread?
  22. Antwan Brief note I promised to find more detail and debate this week but I have to break my promise. Mother passed away suddenly. Just can't get interested in the issue right now. Maybe so time in the future. Sorry. Felt I owed you an explanation.
