Jonah won HWT in 1975, Chris Vandergriff from Halls won HWT in 76 and 77. It was unlimited, Pearl and Maplewood both had HWTs that were as big as Jonah.

Well, basically the baseball booster club aka the team parents have to run the hospitality room, scoreboard, concession, etc. The Siegel coaches are responsible for the playing field. Asking them to do all that - then try to watch/coach their team across town would be ridiculous. So I think Siegel or Oakland would be allowed to play at home. I think in 3 of the 5 games they sat in the visitor dugout.

Yep I found one district that uses the "one potato two potato" method for selection.

Thanks & congrats to Gallatin. I thought maybe the regular season champ advanced (like 7AAA). Trying to keep up with district advancement formats is like herding cats.

Who else advances to regional? Gallatin or Hendersonville?

Siegel wins the 7AAA tournament over Stewarts Creek 6-1. Both advance to Region 4.

Just like the NBA. They play 82 games to eliminate the Clippers, then everyone else is in the playoffs.

Friday Games Winners: Game 5 #3 Stewarts Creek vs #2 Blackman. Gonna be a good one. Blackman on a 10 game win streak. Game 6 #5 Riverdale vs #1 Siegel. Riverdale waxed Oakland last night and is going to be a handful. Elimination: Game 4 #7 Lavergne at #6 Smyrna edit to correct Blackman win streak at 10 games.

Siegel has lost the first round game - as the #2 seed - the past two seasons. In 2014 they won 4 straight elimination games to get to the finals and advance. Last year Smyrna eliminated Siegel in the LB final. Not recommended though!

If the tournament is like last year: Thurs: 1st round games at higher seed: #7 Lav @ #2 Blk; #6Smyrna @ #3 SC; #5Riverdale @ #4Oakland Fri: Lowest two seeds that lost on Thursday in Loser Bracket game (game may not be played at Siegel) at Siegel Lowest seed winner vs. Siegel Highest seeded winners play. Sat: Losers bracket games, down to four teams after Saturday (3 teams eliminated) Mon: Winners bracket final Loser bracket game (4th team eliminated) Tues: Loser bracket final (5th team eliminated) Wed: Championship game (+ if necessary) Siegel will play in the Regionals as the regular season champ. The tournament winner (runner up if Siegel wins the tournament) also makes the Regionals. Tournament champion plays at home vs. D8 runnerup in Regional semifinals.
