Other districts have play in games as well. 7v 10 with the winner playing 2. 8v9 with winner playing 1. The regular season is important. When you have a 10 team district and you finish 1 or 2 after 18 regular season contests you have proven you should be in the region.

The last I heard she was doing better. She did have a concussion and obviously a sore neck, head and face. I do not think anyting was broken. I think she will be fine, she's a pretty tough young lady. It was bad but thankfully not as bad as it could have been.

Dresden has played 3 games. They opened on the road with Madison Academic. A loss but had a chance to win. Look at their roster. 1 senior, very limited experience. The rest are juniors, soph, and freshmen. Again players with limited experience. They lost to Westview. Pat Summit would not have beaten Westview with Dresden's roster. Beat Bradford. Yes, Bradford is younger than Dresden but a win is a win. If you think the kids can go farther, how far do you expect them to go? Many people have unreal expectations. Inexperience and injuries are hurting them obviously but it is only a few weeks in. Do not forget the district is very talented. Give the guy a chance. Do you want the job?......I did not think so! If you do send your application to Weakley County Schools.

Does someone that played at the college level have an advantage as a coach over someone that did not play in college?

You may not be jealous but you need to get your facts straight if you are going to post on coacht. #2 graduated last year and on top of that he only played in about 2 games. If you haven't seen a team play this season please do not bother posting unless you are talking about a team that you know something about.

South Fulton defeated Lake County in the 2nd game. Dresden defeated Bradford in the 1st game. SF and DHS will play Saturday Feb. 26 at 6:30.

What was her % from the field? I do not remember her taking too many shots. People who know the Lady Lions, and basketball itself for that matter, realize that it takes more than one person to help win in this district and region. Bottom line is that her team won. She may not have scored many points but she did take care of the ball. Isn't that what a point guard suppose to do? That is why it is a team game. It is not about individual stats, it is about winning and doing whatever it takes to help your team win. Levister, Quinton, Hughes, Rook, and Dubruiel all played well and filled their roles. You take any of their contributions out of course they do not win. However, Bailey had a lot to do with their success by taking care of the ball and getting them into the right places. Bottom line is that if Bailey would have scored 25 a game and lost the district championship, she and her teammates would have been disappointed. Not one player alone carries the Lady Lions, that is what makes them a good team. I repeat,team!
