  1. fulton by whatever score they want it to be.
  2. Back to the topic. GP..How good are they? Seen them play. For 2a they are very competitive. Playoff standpoint - they are matched against, by far, the toughest region in the state 2-2a. Alcoa Loudon among the best! CAK Sweetwater pretty dang good to! GP is very balanced on offense when they want to be. They can throw it when they want to, but really have not been challenged yet. They run because they don't have to throw! Run the clock, get the game over. Win. Simple. GP QB is a good well-rounded athlete. Good arm and quick! GP 28 Sweetwater 21 Loudon next, that will be tough! The other popular topic on this thread....SCHS You guys are really good in 5a, probably top 2 or 3 in east tn. SCHS & GP in totally different categories when it comes to football. The 2 cannot and should not be compared. Guys (GP & SCHS) get along & stop arguing! Good luck to both in the playoffs!
  3. This game will not be close. Carter is by far the superior team. Carter 49 Rutledge 13
  4. Great Post, REALmen. Perfect SEASON GP! Congratulations. You guys deserve it!
  5. GP/Midway I heard was very lop-sided. Talked to someone at the game. GP was very physical...knocked a very good Midway QB out of the game. GP must be for real. I think they play Sweetwater next Friday.
  6. The reason I made several comments was simply because BLAME was being placed on the football players at PF this year by several people commenting on this site. I was defending the players who are a bunch of kids (the ones who quit and the ones who continue to play)! Get off their backs. If someone is to blame, look in another direction and stop picking on a bunch of kids, period! Success follows success. Leaders are born from following good leadership! How can you blame kids for the problems with PF football. They are the ones watching and trying to learn!
  7. Sorry for the confusion pffan! I don't think that the way the players are playing has anything to do with their parents. I was refering to their training "on the field" and in the off season. Let me try this again. Players play like their coaches coach. Bad training = bad performance. Coaching is everything. Just ask Tennessee's new Off. Cor. in football or Tennessee's new mens basketball coach of last season, to name a few. I want to say it again. Stop blaming the players for everything. The ones who have quit and the ones who have stayed. They (the players) are the ones who are watching and learning from the Trainers, or better yet, Teachers (coaches). Now, hopefully that makes more sense!
  8. I think you are exactly right! It is not the players. All the PF player haters that comment on this site need to look in another direction. The players are not the problem! Hint: "bad" kids in our society, by majority, have had a bad up-bringing, bad training!
  9. Looks like the problem at PF is the players. They quit the team, they lose the games, etc. All of the wonderful coaches of the past and present at PF has had all the answers, it is just those loser players, or it is the loser parents, or it is the loser community, etc. All the past and present coaches at PF are perfect! IT IS JUST THOSE LOSER PLAYERS AT PF! GET OFF THE PLAYERS! Most of you all making comments about the players quitting. etc. are some of those past or present PERFECT coaches at PF. YOU'RE THE LOSERS! FIND SOMETHING MORE CONSTRUCTIVE TO DO THAN CRITICIZE KIDS! TRY SPENDING MORE TIME ON LEARNING THE GAME OF FOOTBALL, OR MORE TIME ENCOURAGING AND BEFRIENDING THESE LOSER KIDS THAN GETTING ON A WEBSITE AND VENTING YOUR LOSER FRUSTRATIONS BECAUSE YOU ARE LOSING! GROW UP YOURSELVES!
  10. Ignore the negative comments Cosby! Stay focused on what you know that you can do! Cosby 27 Cloudland 20
  11. Alcoa is really good, but Maryville wins!
  12. You guys are funny! I thought that you were referring to home cookin at SC also by your earlier comments. Your right about the crown on that field though. I still think SC wins. 28-21.
  13. If the Cosby team plays anything like the fans support the team, they will have a good season. It is good to see such excitement about a team that has struggled for a while. I hope the Eagles win their region this year. Cosby wins by 2 or 3 td's over North Greene.
  14. naw. wrong city and county. stevie can also see a little blind allegience from a scott county fan too. I tend to keep up with the next region over just a little more, but I hear that pigeon forge could finish with their best year yet.
  15. I agree with everything you say with the exception of Scott County beating 2nd & 3rd place teams in other regions. I think Scott would probably finish behind Carter, Pigeon Forge, Seymour and Claiborne and Rutledge in 1-3A. The recent rumblings out there is that Pigeon Forge won a scrimmage against them, and handled them all but the last couple of series.
  16. I have no doubt that you know what you are talking about concerning 7-3A football. Looks like you have a lot of potential D1 & D2 players. I hope they do well. I have watched the 2-3A teams for years. They are always loaded with talent. They don't have just 2 or 3 or even 4 players with great speed and ability, they have ten or fifteen or more. Fulton will have a phenominal backfield coming back next year. Great QB and a D1 runningback. Great defense also. They will find a coach. I would say that they are lined up to take a team like that. Catholic has a great "do everything" player that is probably choosing between UT or Notre Dame. Also, they have many skilled people coming back. Very solid team. Catholic and Fulton played each other last year in the playoffs for the right to play eventual State Champ Livingston Academy. Catholic beat Fulton on a last second touchdown by their "do everything" player. Then Catholic played Livingston very close before losing. That is why I said what I said about 2-3A being the best. 2-3A has so many teams that are so close in talent. Catholic and Fulton will probably be the two best in 2-3A next year followed by AE, Anderson, LA, Kingston.
  17. don't know that much about 7-3A, but I do know about 2-3A. Year in and year out the best in the State. The past three years and maybe more than 3 years, 2-3A won the state. Fulton - Fulton - Livingston Academy. 2-3A is going to be loaded again this season. Knox Catholic - Knox Fulton - Anderson County - Knox Austin East will be four teams heavy laden with great speed and great athletes! Livingston lost alot but will field a very good team. Kingston will be decent also. I would say that 2-3a will have quite a few teams around the top at the end of the season!
  18. comin' in late but here goes Catholic Fulton Anderson County Seymour AE Pigeon Forge Kingston Carter LA Claiborne Gibbs Rutledge Union County Scott County
  19. OK old24eagle. I'll take your advice. I give! You win, coachsbigfan. I did enjoy the conversation. Again, I will say that I personally don't know the asst coach but I do wish him well! Hey old24eagle if psychie isn't spelled right it is close enough. I assume that all you guys are cosby eagles, so best wishes to them too!
  20. You know, you are right about everything you say! You are wasting your time on this message board. You should be advising the President! You obviously know everything there is to know! Can anyone have an opinion but you. I sure that you have all the facts and everybody else on here is just wandering in the dark, giving our misguided ideas. We don't know anything! Please help us coachsbigfan, we need your wisdom & knowledge! Tell us more!
  21. I was just stating stuff that I have heard about Pigeon Forge football like SCBALLFAN was doing. Do you agree with everything that he was saying? Is he stating FACTS or are his comments simply stuff that he has heard. He was talking much more negative about the program and the school than I was. Are all of his comments correct? If you wish the football program and the boys well then how can you not comment toward his negative remarks? Do you believe that all the problems at PF are with the school AD and parents? Are the football coaches all perfect and did not make any mistakes? He blames everybody but the coaches, so are his comments facts or rumors? I would guess without knowing that there were problems with both sides. PFHS is young and will do better. I wish them all well along with you! I don't know you, but I assume that you were involved in the program. I guess maybe some of what I heard was not true, but you did state that some people were talking bad and thinking bad about the PF football players. I guess that was one or some of the coaches. That is bad. No coach should be around young men (15-18 year olds) unless they can be what they expect from their players! Why would a coach expect a player to execute in practice and a game if the coach is cussing or putting the player down all the time. Try building them up and get their respect, then they will practice and play a lot better! Hope you do well with your new job.
  22. I read both your comments. You sure do seem to be negative toward the Pigeon Forge football program! Are you a PF coach or former PF coach? How do you know so much about what is going on, or are you just basing your comments off of someone's opinion or your own opinion? If we are going on opinions. I have heard good things are going on since the former head coach and another volunteer coach have left the program! I heard that those two were the big problem. Bad attitudes from those two toward a lot of the football players and basically those two former "so-called" coaches did not know what they were doing!! It sounds like to me that things are looking up for Pigeon Forge Football!!
