  1. Back to burgers, I'll have to give props to Bob's Burgers in Midtown and The Dipsy Doodle west of Cookeville.
  2. I heard someone say that the Pirates players always interfere with mascot races at their home stadium. The woman in the suit thinks the whole thing is funny.
  3. Getting back to the original topic, I'm vehemently and absolutely pro-life in virtually every case, but I think the "choose life" plates are a disaster waiting to happen. I'd rather not have a choose life plate if it means having a planned parenthood plate for 'balance.' Not to mention, these are plates based more on a philosophy than an entity such as a charity or university. Personally, our East Tennessee Children's Hospital plates are on order...
  4. If I didn't have a pre-schooler and a toddler, saying things like, "Get that bowl off your head" just wouldn't make sense.
  5. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. The good Lord will continue to see us through. By the way, I never knew I was ahead of Ego to begin with!
  6. If you come out of "retirement" as often as the average professional wrestler, you are so coachT! (I just have to stay in touch with Maynardette and JustWrestle!)
  7. Several of you are kind enough to ask about me and my family occasionally. I appreciate your thoughts. Nathan has been under the watchcare of an immunologist for several weeks, and here is the latest update: Nathan was put on an antibiotic for 10 days for sinus and ear infection; He is not to have contact with other children until age 3 (which is almost 2 full years for those of you who don't know/remember); He goes back in 6 weeks for bloodwork; 8 weeks to determine how much immunoglobin infusions he will have to take. His immune system is too weak to fight off infections. The infusions will be every 21 days. Thanks as always and often for your thoughts and prayers.
  8. Winston Smith was the main character in 1984! And the party loyalists turned in disloyalists, with or without cause.
  9. The Constitution Party doesn't get recognized on primary day... Just more drivel from the two ruling parties. Let's get rid of the primaries and have all elections like they do in Louisiana! And let the candidates who aren't Republicans or Democrats in the forums!
  10. I'm a tea-totaler, but even if I wasn't, I can't imagine trying to drink something that smells so nasty!
  11. Everyone is just fine...I survived my 30th birthday, even...little swamp is doing fairly well...he's in the middle of allergy tests - so far we know he's allergic to mold and dust...I can hear the money leaving my pocket as we speak. Little swampette is doing fine, too, as is Mrs. Swamp. I had a few minutes of free time so I thought I'd drop by...
  12. Oh, come on with me to third-party land, ELA!
  13. It's nice to know I'm missed. Thanks to the person who sent me the link (you know who you are...). Right now, I just have too many irons in the fire, so to speak. I'll still stop by occasionally and stir things up... hehehe.
  14. Due to a variety of circumstances, I have decided to "retire" from coacht.com... I'll still check back and visit from time to time, but right now I've decided that I need to spend more time in other areas. Thanks for the memories..God Bless all of you (even QueenBee) and, of course, GO JACKETS!
  15. No offense meant bballtn...just fooling around. [Edited by swamp on 4-16-03 7:22A]
  16. Be sure to fight against the President's Faith-Based Initiatives plan, t2p, or it's only a matter of time before your church is being run by the BATF.
  17. I don't know Robjim, might make for some interesting watching...
  18. The federal government has its place (spelled out clearly in the founding documents), but it has long ago overstepped those boundaries. I definitely do not look to the government to solve the problems, because when it does, it creates more problems and often robs of our freedoms in the process.
  19. Are those lights in the shape of those silhouttes you see on the mudflaps of semi trucks?
  20. The problem is, Democrats only see Republican compromise as "bipartisanship;" they fail to see their own lack of compromise as "obstruction."
  21. Actually, there is a group dedicated to it. I think their website is http://www.fairtax.org... And, reform in small doses will eventually get us there, but I don't want the final product to be "graduated" at all. [Edited by swamp on 4-15-03 11:50A]
  22. I'm pretty partial to the Linder plan. Abolition of the income tax, national sales tax supplemented by tariffs, or better yet, tariffs supplemented by a national sales tax.
  23. Too bad he's not eligible, huh?
  24. Socialists and Democrats rejoice, Constitutionalists, Republicans, and Libertarians moan...but it's here... Simplify it - ABOLISH THE IRS!
  25. We know how that is. You never know bballmom, maybe you and bballtn will be the new coaches.
