  1. No, all this is saying is not to underestimate Hamilton.
  2. Hamilton plays more defense than most of the teams i have seen out of Memphis. Hamilton can play in a game with a slower pace. They played Bolivar in the FedEx Forum on January 16th in an overtime game with a final score of 62-61. They have the capability to play uptempo or a slow down game. I feel they have an advantage either way. It would be hard to run with them because of how athletic they are. In a slow paced game Hamilton has a huge size advantage inside. No disrespect to Greeneville because anyone still in the tournament at this point has done a few things right along the way. However, you must remember that Hamilton is comming out of Memphis which is considered one of the top cities in the nation for high school basketball talend and has emerged without a single loss. These wins have come over some stiff competition including Bolivar, Mitchell and Ridgeway.
  3. About the game two years ago, it doesn't really matter who would have won between Alcoa and McMinn because neither of those teams could have beaten Jackson South Side. Could someone tell me what kind of size both of these teams have??? Good luck to the winner against Haywood or Liberty. They are both playing very good basketball.
  4. Just so everyone knows, it was partially coach Williams fault for Irvin's rough play. He put Irvin in because of Jones and Sain's inability to contest Bolivar layups. I was sitting three rows behind the bench that night and i hear coach Williams tell Irvin "not another layup." Not to say he had to elbow Kemp in the face, but when a coach tells you something like that what are you susposed to do? Just wanted to set that straight. By they way, i don't know Irvin personally, just telling fact.
  5. Yeah, my bad. I was thinking about the region man.
  6. Yes. As a result of the reclassification this past offseason they did move up.
  7. McNairy - same possibly better Liberty - probably better Bolivar- down but not too much so Lexington- have no idea
  8. Thanks. I'm not talking trash. I wish Greeneville the best. All i wanted was a little information
  9. How good are Bearden's gaurds?? Raleigh Egypt has some pretty good ones. 6'3" junior Maurice Miller is being heavily recruited by Georgia Tech coach Paul Hewitt. 6'2" Derrick Grandberry and 6' Marcus Hunter are capable of scoring as well. Remember that Raleigh Egypt has lost in the state tournament the past two years to AA champion Bolivar. The 2004 semifinal loss was by 3 and the 2005 final loss was by 4 points. Raleigh Egypt is deep, big and quick. 6'5" Nathaniel Calhoun, 6'5" Tremaine Greene and 6'6" Derrick Edwards compile a formitable front line.
  10. I was wondering if Greeneville has any size and how athletic are they? Just so you Greeneville fans know, we are talking about the USA Today's number 8 team in the nation. Not knocking Greeneville but i haven't heard anything about them all year. What do they have??
  11. Just so ya know, the three who shattered the backboard is not including their 2 best players.
  12. Not to knock Greeneville at all but does a team of their size have much of a chance against a very big very talented Hamilton team? I invite those of you that haven't seen Hamilton play this year to go to www.unapproved website.com and under the "Da Elevator" link check out the two Hamilton clips. These are all from this year. Number 15 and 5 are Watkins and Williams, the Colorado and San Fransisco signees. Have a look and tell me what ya think about them.
  13. Money or no money, in this country, as well as every other country on this earth one statement always reigns true; "It's not what you know, it's who you know."
  14. I don't know much about Cosby but from looking at the pictures on their schedule, they are going to have problems with how athletic Humboldt is. Humboldt is the most atheltic team i have seen in the last 3 years and i have been to the state tournament the past two years.
  15. I am going to go out on a limb and say that Mitchell hands down is the most talented team in the state. I just hope they play up to their capability. I am sorry but i really don't think Bolivar can beat Mitchell. If Haywood plays as well as they did tonight and Liberty runs with them, Haywood is very capable of beating Liberty. Good luck to all West Tennessee teams including all of the Memphis teams.
  16. The only problem is that you don't know which team will show up to play on a given night. Some teams play good on different nights. That's why they play the games and don't go by paper.
  17. i'm driving from Martin. I do know how hard it is to beat a team five times. Thanks for the info.
  18. Tomcatfan what time do you reccomend showing up for the game, i'm driving from an hour away and i want to be sure i get in the gym. I, as well as you i'm sure, hope Haywood plays much better than they did against Fayette Ware friday night. I hope it's a great game. 19. Austin East is out. Bolivar will have to play two of their best games of the year to beat Mitchell and whoever comes out of the bottom half of the bracket in the state tournament to win it again. I now understand why nobody has completed the three peat in AA.
  20. It's hard to say because there are some very good teams. I would have to say right now in my opnion Mitchell has a great shot. The most talented team in AA if not the whole state including Brentwood Academy. Some of you will argue that Brentwood beat Mitchell. This is true, but Mitchell is more talented, just not as well coached as Brentwood. After last year's disappointment, Mitchell is playing with a chip on their shoulder and are on a mission to do one thing, bring the gold ball back to Memphis. The Tigers will be a tough out for ANY of the teams remaining in the tournament.
  21. Wright's agility and ball handling skills as a 6'10 big man will fit in to coach Roy Williams running style brillantly. Along their other fine recruits, i look for the Tar Heels to have a big year. Maybe not a national championship next year but if everyone stays, they will be very good the next year.
  22. Harrison Jones and Ricky Taylor from Haywood
  23. Honestly, yes. But hey, that's my opnion and until they play nobody knows who will win. Good luck to both teams.
  24. There will be no Liberty Mitchell game until the championship if both teams make it there. Liberty knocked off Bolivar 79-75 tonight.
