  1. Enough with running up the score. McNairy played Liberty very close up until half time and if they hit their free throws they might have been ahead going into the half. McNairy did an awesome job against Liberty. It was a lot closer earlier in the game than the Libery coach/players/and fans expected. The final outcome was expected except for the McNairy hopeful. All this can be wrapped up with this ( not to agree or disagree with the coach's choice ) but : The Liberty coach was not impressed at all with his teams first half. They haven't played in awhile and they had to work out a few things, but the coach left the boys in until they showed signs of being the " known" Liberty team. His job is to have the boys ready for a state title run and he did what he felt was best for his team.
  2. Trivia time--I wanna say that the last regular season loss for Liberty ( besides Bolivar ) goes all the way back to what i think was their 2nd year as a school against Jackson North Side??
  3. Liberty will win the game but i think it will be close. Possibly just close until around the half like the McNairy game but Bolivar will hang around. Bolivar IMO is the best "young" team around. They handle the ball very well and from what i've seen they don't break down. Bolivar has a great coach and the players fill their rolls nicely but Liberty is too good. Bolivar wont be able to keep Liberty off the boards or away from the basket.Good luck to both teams and continue to rep 12AA.
  4. How will Camden lose this game?..Answer = No chance!..Lewis has had a great year and I look for this team to do well in the play offs but they can forget about this one. We can argue about it all day, but look at it on paper. Yes, Lewis has given up 28 points all year, but those teams were not Camden. Camden did better in 2 qrts aginst Waverly( very good team, NO disrespect ) than Lewis did in 4. Granted that they gave you five T.O.s. Hope for an injury free game. Camden wins.
  5. If it helps any, the score of the camden game is 27-0 still in the first..
  6. Thats what i was thinking.I remember when I was 10 and we said those chants, the coach told us that if we wanted to play softball it was the next field over lol.But do whatever works i guess..
  7. Bolivar and Camden are playing at Camden tonight. From what I understand this will determine the #6 and #7 seeds, but from how it looks it wont matter because #6 plays #7 in an elimination game. Is this correct?
  8. Im glad these people are taking this job serously. It is usually hard to find good book keepers for high school. I know of several schools who miss plays because of being on a cell phone, eating, looking at poeple in the stands and so on...Good job to all the poeple named on this topic
  9. If Milan and Alcoa will both be there then i guess the question is solved
  10. Liberty is the new team to beat in 12AA. Bolivar has the coaches and the talent to be good next season. It will be hard losing a big percent of their scoring but I still look for them to compete and show some teams up in the district.
  11. Liberty had a great year. The only team they lost to was Bolivar and then finally getting over the hump going down the stretch really says something for this team. This is still a young program with many young and special kids. As long as their are no major changes, Liberty should be right back here come next season. Great job!
  12. Im going with Liberty. They are just too fast and play in your face.Goin by the AP poll they are under dogs but on paper they look really good in this one. McMinn is doing really well but Liberty is just too much.
  13. sounds sloppy but very even..surprised at the low score
  14. I know that this reply wont make sense to everyone out there, but basicly whoever wants it the most. I know some schools just flat out dont have the talent that others do, but with the season being way off its just who works the hardest. Any group of kids that have their mind made up that they want to make a run can do so. This just involves weights, putting up shots, and dribbling everyday possible...
  15. Mitchell is a good team, and its going to be a good game. Bolivar can not win with just Kemp and Chism. Madden, Rhodes, along with others need to step up and give good minutes. I dont think Bolivar will play their best game of the year, but they will win by a few shots. BUT if bolivar has a game where everything i clicking and everyone gives great minutes..it could be scarry
  16. I hate that these teams have to play this early. If i had to pick a favorite it would be Liberty. It is hard to beat a good team 3 times, but when Liberty plays hard and inside your jersey its hard to beat them. They are so quick and great ball players. No blow out, but Liberty in a very close one.
  17. I was surprised that this game stayed close. Great game by Dl. I think it stayed close because Bolivars shots didnt fall for them the entire game. Bolivar tends to score in streaks and feed off the crowd a lot and its hard to do that when shots dont fall. Here lately they seem to play just as good as who theyre playing and not pushing on to end the game earlier. They know Mitchell will play with them so i expect them to be ready and win with a good over all effort.
  18. This can be a DEEP subject, but the pressure on coaches can be huge. They must win games, win over the fans, the players have to believe he/she will take the program higher, and then parents. Also in smaller towns, last names can play a role. However, the player that produces the most should play, but this is not always the case...It can be understood that every parent wants to see their kid do well and some even push their kid on the coaches at times,BUT just as the kids must play as one for the school rather than themselves the parents need to support the team rather than just his/her own kid. Again just my opinion, and im WAY from being a coach..just my thoughts
