  1. Baldcoach, I admire your dedication and persistence in trying to give out correct infomation about private schools. I don't know what school you are affilated with, but they have a good person associated with them. Keep up the good fight.
  2. If the players parents are paying for the rings, then why would a single player be left out, managers, everyone. If the school is paying for them, then of course its up to the school. All players were offered the option of getting a state ring at Father Ryan for the volleyball state title, of course the parents have to pay for them. Hope everything works out. A true team would include everyone who in some way contributed to the team and that is usually every single person involved with the particular program.
  3. Good post brother, I can tell one thing about the coaches at JPII. Its obvious that their players respect them. I might add that says a lot about the players also win or lose. You know what, you may have lost the game, but you are a winner anyway by how you think and act. Good luck to Jay and all the players. You have a great year in school. :justwrestle:
  4. You dang tooting there is. Jennifer is a great kid. I have watched her for many years. But there are other guards that pass, defend, steal, rebound, and score and lead their team as well as she does. Maybe you have not seen them as of yet. Anyway, we both agree on one thing, and that is Jennifer along with all the players get the best education in college and play some ball too. The best of everything to all the players. :justwrestle:
  5. There are other point guards in the city that have not been mentioned that can and will play ball in college at some level.
  6. I agree with you on everything but the best defender part. There are other "true point guards" in Middle Tennessee who plays defense as well or better. Dribbling is a weakness. I think you have a new student at JPII and you are on the bandwagon. She is a good kid. As to starting four years, not unusual for coaches daughters and at a new high school. Shooting is a little below average. She does drive very well. I think the two state championship appearences was probably a team credit as much as anything. She can certainly play at the Division III level probably with an academic scholarship to take with her.
  7. Hmmmm, I have seen many very good players on a average team, this is a team sport. It usually takes 5 or 6 players, look at Wilson Central.
  8. Seen it, heck I am looking at it this very moment, and its called a cup, yes it is a golden color ( get it ha ha ho ho heee heee) and it is a trophy ball. I saw it before you ever heard of it. You are relying on memory, cause it ain't in Hendersonville anymore. Better shore up that defense, its starting to get embarrassing.
  9. Its not a ball, but a cup as you well know. But I believe thats one more than you will get this year and or for many years. ECS has got players lined up wanting to play running back the next time you two meet if you make it that far.
  10. You are absolutely correct on your statements about Ryan, Ole Dad. I wish that no cents and JPII fan would obtain some group counseling, perhaps get a discount rate if they go together. Well, got to go and polish the Bishop's Cup.
  11. Thank you Saintsfan, I agree about the fans. A class act. Read this post JPII fan. By the way, Father Ryan will be coming to visit your school in about a month or so for some Basketball.
  12. I agree about starting Blair, and I am not crying little brother. MBA won and thats all there is to it. But I am not a big fan of rotating quarterbacks. It was a great atmosphere and I had a great time watching two teams battle it out. I hope their injury situation improves, and that all the teams remain injury free
  13. It is a scary to think that JPII fan is wishing the best for Ryan and MBA, since she just recently posted that Ryan is a horrible school. She takes more turns than a winding country road, perhaps some medication would help.
  14. I knew exactly who I was posting to and exactly what I was saying. Please go somewhere and get some counseling. Once again you call Ryan a horrible school, I have never and will never say that about any school, because that would be short sighted and immature. And to say that after they whipped your school's butt in football is the most immature statement of all. You posted in the past that you were going to take the high road on this web site. But your emotions always get the best of you. Knightime has some sense and some dignity. I don't think anyone on this site would agree that I am losing anything with you. And please, don't root for Ryan, we don't need fans with your mindset. There is a fundamental difference between myself and you, you don't direct blame where it should be directed. As Ole Dad once posted, I think it is the teachee, not the teacher. Got to go and polish the Bishop's Cup. And at some point, try and remember to always act like a lady.
  15. Its not all that bad when the other team scores only one touchdown the whole game. Of course, you are not expected to realize this since the team you follow ain't going to shut out anybody with that defense. Once again, I repeat Congrats to MBA on the win, it was a hard fought game by both sides as anyone that attended would attest to.
  16. Nobody is moving anywhere, it simply is re-classification. Once again this fun game business is baloney. JPII wanted to win that game as much as anyone on the field. Your defense can't cut the mustard and the clock will strike twelve for JPII beginning next season and this season as well in the playoffs. You will be moving in with the big boys next season and there is no cake games on your schedule, unless you go out of the division. A record of 2-8 will about do it next year. You won't have the superstar then unless somebody writes another check. Or you might get another superstar with that tuition rate that you charge non-catholics. JPII against Christian Brothers, JPII against BA, JPII against Baylor, JPII against MUS, what a scary thought. It will be even scarier in all the other sports as well. Gotta go and polish the Bishop's Cup.
  17. I guess you forgot again about Christian Brothers. Does your computer turn my posts into a language that you have difficulty understanding? I don't believe I have been talking about JPII, once again you are trying to twist things away from your constant bashing of Father Ryan. Well, got to go and polish the Bishop's Cup. By the way, what is a ponits. It won't be long before we read in the paper that enraged poster takes ball pinged hammer and murders her computer. My Gosh, what drama. Remember always be a lady.
  18. JPII fan is once again exposing her feelings toward Father Ryan. Please don't post again that you are rooting for Ryan, everyone knows its a lie. This love-hate blame the institution, not the child syndrom is getting way out of hand. If you or your child or cousin or sister or brother could not achieve at Ryan, too bad, but don't blame a great school for your or your family's failure to achieve there. I know some kids that hated everything about JPII as a school, but you don't see anyone blaming a school for one or two disenchanted people, especially me. You broke your promise, you said you were going to take the high road, you have not accomplished that yet. I predicted a JPII victory, even with a defense that is laughable. Please prepare yourself for the playoffs and next season, cause I have a feeling you won't be posting much then either. Remember, always be a lady. Hey, good win Knightime, but your defense still has a long way to go. Despite the crazy posts from JPII fan, I truly hope JPII can win it all. Afterall, they are our sister school. But I am getting better responding to Bi-Polar posters. The best of luck to you and JPII the rest of the season.
  19. I was busy polishing the Bishop's Cup over at Norwood. We are going through a quarterback situation at the present time which hopefully will soon be worked out. Congratulations MBA, a great win when you really needed one. Maybe we will meet again in the playoffs, if not see you next year.
  20. Nobody has responded to your post but me. Where have all the loyal supporters of the JPII Knights gone. They have left this board faster than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. I predict a victory for JPII, but their defense continues to struggle. I won't predict a score, do not know enough about Harding. But I agree with you, their schedule seems to be weaker than JPII's. Anyway, good luck and hope the team stays injury free. PS. Where are you at JPII fan, it usually takes me awhile to read all your posts.
  21. It don't matter how many teams, they all don't make the playoffs. And I believe that seven or eight is a whole lot closer than four as you stated in your original post. How many times does this have to be said. you were wrong, Junior.
  22. The Irish will win by ten maybe 13. MBA ran well against JPII, but so have everyone else they have played this year. It will be much tougher to run against the Irish. If MBA runs 9 out of ten plays this friday, Ryan will punish some runners. The Irish is probably going to have their former starting quarterback healthly again. I don't think MBA's passing game is gonna improve a whole lot in a week. But time will tell, as you say it is a dogfight unless Ryan is having a bad year, then its not even a rivalry according to some posters. I pick Ryan 21, MBA 10.
  23. You are incorrect. There are seven or eight teams in Div II AAA and not all of them make the playoffs. So if the original post is the dumbest thread ever, where does your response rank.
  24. I wish you were correct about no coach taking issue with shorts over the spandex. But without naming any names I guarantee you that there are several coaches that would not allow it to the point of benching the player. Everybody has to dress the same, etc.
  25. Good win for the Knights, the defense needs to keep working hard. Good luck in the next game.
