  1. No! tuition is not tax deductible regardless of whether it is a secular private school of a church affiliated private school..
  2. The poster Barbara was a LEGEND.......In his own mind. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I watched a few minutes of Farragut whilst walking to my car after a A/AA game. They looked really good to me, although I only have a limited 50+ years experience of soccer.
  3. Won't work as a single league as the numbers are too large. I think we would need at least 200 sub classifications in this category. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  4. Very possibly, however Vandy will not win against UT. I hear that the whole Vandy Football team are feeling a little depressed. They were planning on using the time between now and Christmas to study for exams, not preparing for a Bowl Game. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  5. If they are allowed to play, it would reflect very poorly on A-E and the School Board. Every week there are hundreds of instances where players are sidelined for infractions far less serious than this. Education is about building character and recognizing there are consequences. A couple of years ago East Robertson had a good football team and benched several of their lineman for some minor event within the life of the school. It was a critical game but the school and the coach did the right thing. I also remember a story of an Illinois team who made it to the State Final. The coach heard about a party where there was some underage drinking going on and sidelined everybody involved including his own son. They lost the state game but more importantly they learned a valuable life lesson.
  6. bottomline is a Mount Pleasant fan from reading his past posts. Not too sure where he is coming from as I don't see Mount Pleasant making it through to the Boro every year either.
  7. It's not fair. Public Schools don't have funds for equipment like this. Yet one more advantage to the privates. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Sorry, I couldn't resist.
  8. papatiger, You were all bent out of shape because I joked that LC beating Waverly was a shock to me. Yet you are happy to come on here and accuse Goodpasture of being cheats and liars and deliberatley violating TSSAA rules. If you are a pastor, I'm glad I don't attend your church.
  9. Your source of information is wrong. Fairview will not have any home games even if they continue to win.
  10. Thanks, I did not the TSSAA guidelines carefully enough. Good job I am not a lawyer /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  11. With the current TSSAA rules they changed things. 2A is different all the way to the semis. The higher seed will always host. If LC meet Milan for instance, they will have to look at teams played and come up with the higher seed.
  12. Don't be too hard on our statman there jacketpride. Robjim is really a good guy but he is getting a touch of senility in his old age. Mind you, if you saw who he had to work with in the Press Box every Friday night (Bighurt), a short term memory loss is an asset. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  13. Alcoa beating Cumberland Gap and Lewis County beating Waverly. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Seriously though, I was most surprised by the Camden Fairview game.
  14. Thanks Tradition and congratulations on the 300th win from all of us at CPA, though we are rivals we have a lot of respect for Goodpasture football. Most of us on the boards love football too /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  15. Tradition: As a moderator, I am requesting you to please refrain from using all Caps on your posts. It is not part of the CoachT board etiquette as it indicates you are in effect shouting. I looked through all of your posts and they are all very respectful and thoughtful so if you can drop the CAPS with your typing you would not be leaving the wrong impression. As far as the game goes, I am going to go with Goodpasture on this one. I think most people discounted Region 5 too early. Goodpasture is young but growing up very quickly and we at CPA were hit hard with injuries at the start of the season. The QB at Goodpasture is going to be an awesome leader and if GP mix it up with pass and run which they are very capable of, I think they pull out the win.
  16. I think you will find for 2A that the TSSAA changed the rules for semis. For 2A only it goes by highest seed. Quote "In Class 2A, the higher seeded team shall be the host school. If the two schools are the same seed, in odd-numbered years the top team in each bracket shall be the host team. In even-numbered years the bottom team in each bracket shall be the host team."
  17. Don't worry, built into the TSSAA dues next year is an additional fee to hire a Harvard and MIT Task Force to come up with the playoff brackets for early November. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  18. Sorry guys, if you wish to discuss this please go to the CoachT Plus Boards.
  19. You should pay attention to the brackets before you try and make it appear as if you know what you are talking about. Camden can only meet Lewis County in the quarter finals.
  20. 2A is complete http://www.tssaa.org/2008Champions/StateFo...s2A/Bracket.htm
  21. I think that is the way it will work out as Lewis County will be top seed, followed by Camden and then CPA.
  22. Not too sure of my geography, but I think Huntingdon go to the west quadrant....correct?
  23. I just completed a back of the envelope analysis and West Greene should be in the wildcard mix. Adamsville or JCS fall out. Not certain which though.
