  1. Something stupid like a fumble return or Loretto's 1sts will score after Collinwood puts the band and cheerleaders in at the end of the game. Ya'll think I'm kidding but Loretto is terrible. They COULD NOT stop Cornersville's 1st team and Cornersville runs the same offense as Collinwood except Statom is a little more wide open than Stockstill. Cornersville is pure Delaware WingT.
  2. I would say it will be a massacre. Statom is accustomed to Loretto's offense since Wayne Co runs the same thing, except alot better. Collinwood 49 Loretto 6
  3. Dude, they almost lost to Cornersville in the jamboree at Lewisburg. How do you think they did?
  4. You never stated that he ran into problems with the administration. You said he had a problem that caused him to not coach there anymore and left it at that. It SOUNDED like the guy had done something wrong. If he was in a disagreement with the administration you should have said that, because then it would have seemed more like they didn't want to give him the funding he needed or wouldn't give he the control he needed or other problem. I have nothing to do with the Munford program. I just think that if you're going to bring it up (which I don't think it should have been brought up to start with) , explain what you are talking about so you do not make the man look bad.
  5. I gotta pick Wayne Co. I just don't think Waverly will be able to match up scheme wise with Coach Rice's splitback veer. Incidentally, Coach Rice or any of your assistants, if you read this, did you sell your offense to Loretto's new coach?
  6. I like your show usually, but yesterday when you were talking about Mumford and Brighton, why did ya'll have to bring up anything about Mumford's coach's past? You made it sound like the guy was a bad guy. Mumford obviously thinks alot of him or he wouldn't be employed there. I think that was unprofessional by that reporter.
  7. Westview over huntington crockett over lexington hickman over bruceton camden over mckenzie
  8. A couple of comments ...... Forrest has a fairly decent field, but I have seen it where there was no effort put into the tick marks. Some had 1 foot between them and others had 2 yards..... I know the Lions Club financed their facilities, but having the tractor pull going across their field right before the season hurts their field. Community's field is awful. Do they even have any lights yet? Not too long ago it was a beach with a little bermuda. How are people not voting Clarksville Ac as the best field? Turf at Austin Peay? I'd rather play there any day. McEwen? What a place. Go to Deliverance and turn left. Those people there are scarry weird.
  9. Was it a rule that everybody had to sub so much? What the heck was that all about? Cornersville, who desperately needs some momentum to get any kind of respect, takes a 14-0 lead and cannot hold up? What in the world was their coach thinking by throwing on 3rd down with a 14-0 lead with 8 minutes left? Run the draw and make 45 seconds come off the clock. For Loretto, on the other hand, it was humorous to see them celebrate like they did over squeaking past Cornersville. What the heck has happened to their program? I remember in the mid 90s they wore our Lewis County when they were in a region with Lewis Co, Mt. Pleasant, Richland, Riverside, and Adamsville. And have they stolen their offense from Rick Rice at Wayne Co? In the Giles/Lincoln game, I was impressed with the sheer size of #58 and #85 for Lincoln. They must be underclassmen because they are behemoths but didn't start. #49 for Giles is a player, he has the ability to take a game over if the coaches would let him. Finally, in the MC/CC game, I felt CC wasn't much more than highly average, they were just a bunch of good ole boys who like to play and they play hard. When they caught up to MC's speed they took over. #22 for MC is their bell cow. Why in the world they didn't continue to hand him the ball I'll never know. I was unimpressed with Hightower. He was lazy and I don't remember him playing in the 2nd qtr. He got popped on a KOR and was done.
  10. I can't believe nobody is talking about the jamboree at Forrest. Are they not having it this year? If they are, who is playing?
  11. The fullback, is that the Merlock kid who is listed on ESPN.com as a DE?
  12. I'm glad you put that into quotations, because its actually Ray Barnes's D from his MTSU days.
  13. Other way around. Our 2nd team was gashing their first team D.
  14. Hey Coach! Glad to see you're still posting on here. You might want to go check out East Hickman some this year, they are running the single wing, but I do not know if they are balanced or unbalanced. I do not think they will be very good this year, but give em a few years and they will pull kids in with the lure of that new $30 million school. I talked to Bronson earlier, they lost to Brighton tonight 7-0 on an INT return. I told him that he needed to get his offense installed to get em rolling, they are obviously stagnant there. Pretty good on D though, and they haven't allowed an offensive TD in either scrimmage. I feel bad for those kids in PC. Their superintendant abandoned them and will probably get rid of the program in a few years. I'm afraid they will get beat by Cornersville this year, along with everyone else except for Zion. I really hate that too, because those kids deserve better, and it will give ammo to the supt to get rid of the program. More money for a basketball program that won't ever get past the 1st round of the region.
  15. Yeah he can defend it. What made PCs hard to defend was Coach Bradley would also run the weak side veer and it was hard to gameplan for both. You seem to have alot of knowledge, dink. Hickman County drilled Eagleville 63-7 tonight after Eagleville beat East Hickman like a drum last week. That sound you just heard was a collective "uh-oh" from Lyles and Bon Aqua.
  16. I believe that East Hickman will be running the single wing, although I do not know if it is balanced or unbalanced. I do not know what they are running on defense. Speaking of county rivalries, why do Waverly and McEwen not play each other in football? I know with McEwen's region they only have one non-region possibility (and they schedule Houston Co. because they are rivals with them and they can usually whoop them), that wasn't the case before this year.
  17. You must mean you scrimmaged them during spring practice. Any other scrimmages scheduled?
  18. Quite simply, the superintendant doesn't care. He should not be in that spot. In fact, he shouldn't work in any school system at any position. He is a weak minded person who cannot handle himself professionally.
  19. Yeah, you're right. The parents and students really did stick up for him, but it pretty much went unnoticed by the superintendant and school board, as they decided at the school board meeting Monday night that they did not want Courtney back. Which means they are gonna make Coach Bradley coach the team by himself for two years in a row.
  20. If you think he supports it so much then answer two questions (I could ask about 10 more of instances where one would be left scratching his/her head but I won't). Why did he have the TSSAA post the open head coaching position for football? Why does he have an accomplished assistant coach teaching at the school but refuses to let him coach? I'll answer them for you. He wants to get rid of Coach Bradley because Bradley was the only person who stuck up for Courtney. He won't let the man coach because he's spiteful that Courtney stuck up for himself and won, making Webb look bad. When you've got two guys available to really make a difference, why would you hold them back if you really wanted to see the program succeed?
  21. Yeah, no joke football is last on the list of sports PC's superintendant cares about. The principal supports the program as much as he can, but how much support can you give when your boss doesn't? 2 examples of questionable conduct Most schools, when they advertise for an assistant coach, the head coach interviews them to see if he wants them, then he goes to the adminstration to see if the guy can be hired. At PC, the superintendant interviews the candidate and if he hires him, he forces the guy on the head coach, and the guy may not really know anything about football. Rumor has it that next year Kirk Haston will be given a cushy board office job so he can be an assistant basketball coach. Now, I'm sure the guy can coach basketball, and I'm sure that will will do well. This is not to knock him or his abilities. My question is, why does a guy who received a $4 million signing bonus when he was drafted into the NBA need a $30,000 a year job? Especially when the school system worries about the budget every year? Wouldn't it be more economically feasible for Haston to just volunteer as a coach? Its not like he needs the money. And he could still sleep late everyday. But my opinion shouldn't matter? I'm just Ned........................
  22. What kind of potential does this program have? They're always good at basketball so they must have athletes. Region 4-A isn't a very easy region to compete in with Trousdale Co., Gordonsville, Watertown, and Monterey. Are they facilities adequate? What kind of interest do the students have in playing and what kind of support does the community give to the program? Is basketball the king there or does football have a chance?
  23. Hey man I'm sure we'll come at least once to give you a rematch from that beatdown last summer! HA!
