too much speed, size, and talent at SD to have losing record after losing record. If you can't do better then .500 with the talent i saw on this years team, SD is in bad shape. This is the best talent they have had down there since 2001 but this season doesn't look to be headed in a similar direction.

#21 might get it done against HV or Central but against a good team if you are too scared to run it between the tackles you will get nowhere just like he did against Science Hill. #20 is the true RB clonekid is completely correct. As far as #33 goes he gave up four count'em four sacks against Johnson County. He may have some speed but he never runs the ball straight ahead this kid is just too young he needs another year. #40 just seems to not get a chance at fullback for whatever reason.

Oh yeah they are headed to the playoffs as long as the leonard kid doesn't get hurt. Prudhomme is a good ball player, but in my opinion they need to promote #30, other then philips no player is more valuable to his team. That kid made big hits, ran/returned the ball well and even blocked an extra point. He looks like the defensive player of the year in the conference if he stays healthy.

The cyclones moved up and down the field while in the power set in the second half why they got away from it i don't have a clue. The Price kid needs to stay at RB and they should put #80 at fullback he is the only skill position player that will hit. When they were in that set Price pounded the ball BETWEEN THE TACKLES, no one on the team has the speed to get to the edge that includes fuqua he can win whatever track meets he wants the Longhorn players ran with him all night. The team needs to look at that #55 to see what it takes to win he is out there playing with a completly screwed up shoulder and he never stops. The left side of the offensive line was opening up huge holes. They need to line up and pound people the passing game is a waste of time. If they aren't going to throw to 80 and continue to look at fuqua the whole time it isn't going to work. That new kicker looked good for his first time ever kicking as well. If there is a time to look at changes it is now with the off week. There is plenty of season to go.

Totally agree. Speed definetly helps but if you can't read blocks you will only get somewhere against HV. They have to find a back that will pound it up the middle, even if the middle is only open half of the time.

True i agree betsy would get drilled by alcoa in the first two minutes. The only reason hampton is so much better then betsy now is their players have the system down and they have worked in the weight room. Give Witten a couple years and those tables will be turned big time just because of the amount of talent he will have to work with. Yeah for now Hampton would beat them. That Roupe kid is the most overrated player i think i have ever seen. If people would actually watch him they would see he is size and nothing else.

i completly agree hampton is good for this area but like you said alcoa would be done with them by halftime. Witten has the energy to get betsy back to the top of this area but as far as getting past knoxville that would take more then a decade.

#7 is the free safety who might as well not be in the game and from what i have heard he is a real cancer in the locker room, but that is just what i have heard. Couldn't agree more about the fullback the cyclones are playing with 10 on offense and sometimes 9 when #86 is in at tight end that kid bless his heart looks scared to death out there he was running away from people trying to block them. Witten really has his hands full as far as the personnel he is working with, but hopefully he will toughen them up because if he doesn't it is going to be a long day up on the mountain. The game of the softies, there will be a lot of arm tackling from betsy, they may want to watch #30 from johnson county that boy knows how to hit. #7 from betsy is the most passive ball player i have seen since watching a flag game. If Carr thinks he will run around the edge on JC, #30 will knock him into next week. Everyone on here thinks he is so good, but that boy does not ever run it between the tackles. I hope elizabethton gets it done but that D has to control the edge and that offense has to get somewhat physical.

if #55 is back for betsy and the fullback does something besides stand and watch on isolation plays elizabethton should be able to run the ball. As far as the passing game goes #7 has to make some plays he has the height and speed if he steps up Elizabethton's offense will be able to move the ball. As far as defense the secondary isn't proven what so ever, but they will get their chance this week. Those two sophmores are not going to be able to play near as much at D-tackle they got pushed around by the valley. The senior lineman are going to have to stink it up and keep those lineman of the backers. Elizabethton will come out fired up. If they can stay in the game they will pull it out on heart. no kidding i couldn't agree more this game could be the quietest hitting game of the year

The offensive line is definetly the weak spot on offense, the two tackles are getting it done but the interior lineman are just too small and weak. Better come up with some trick plays to get the ball down the field. Either that or move the two tackles to the same side. Bo Carter is really getting it done at defensive end. When they get around the goaline the need to throw some jump balls to the julian kid he is athletic and tall.

All I can say is thank god some of those coaches in the stands are gone from last year. Of course I don't know how we will ever make it without the heisman candidate back there at qb. GLee needs to stay in kentucky and keep his mouth there too. If that kid on the backside is who i think you are talking about there must be some reason he is listed as one of the top players in the state, I don't think its because his daddy gets on here whinning every week like a couple i can think of. If your kid isn't on the team why would you sit here and put down others, obviously you must be jealous.

Anderson needs to start at quarterback, Smith is a better athlete but not a leader he is out there running his own offense, the anderson kid is running the teams offense might as well switch it up. All this talk about Smith having to run for his life is his own fault he has to check his progressions not just focus on one reciver and as the game goes along he gets more and more gun shy. You hit him a couple times and its either throw to 11 or run for some stats. Whoever keeps complaining about the offensive tackles is an idiot 77 and 74 are by far the best in the region the interior is where the problem is but i understand people get jealous. In fact i heard the tackles graded out the best on the team for the tennessee high game. if the quarterback at Elizabethton had any help maybe the pass could work, but he has none. He is an athlete and that line is pretty big the only chance they have of moving the ball is running it with a tailback or getting him on some playactions, boots, or roll outs. DB's defensive backs will blanket those recievers. Besides a couple of those o lineman and that quarterback betsy will be out classed all over the field. Who is number 7 for elizabethton and why isnt he starting.
