  1. No backjudge you are wrong. I have given my time, money, blood, sweat, and tears to Greenfield's football program in my 20+ years being involved with it. I have seen bad times and some good years as well. I have seen Jackie Vaughn run the program into the ground, and ruin a good school. The drug use at Greenfield's school was horrible a few years ago and Jackie wouldn't let the drug dogs come in because it would show that his school was in shambles. that's a joke! I can't wait till he leaves and nothing about Greenfield can ever be less than mediocre until he is gone!
  2. Yes let me bring attention to this. Greenfield has two coaches for their high school team. What's worse is one of them is a volunteer assistant. A volunteer! We have one faculty coach. 1 What's worse is the coach that was just replaced from the high school is the jr. high head coach and he's the only coach there too! That's right folks two faculty coaches for two football teams. It's a friggin joke! Jackie Vaughn has ruined Greenfield football and it will take a decade or better to get over it. The coaches are doing the best they can and God bless Adam Dowland for volunteering his time so our high school can have two coaches. If he didn't volunteer some idiot like David Dunlap would be forced to coach and that guy knows nothing about anything. Adam doesn't get paid one red cent. I think its a joke that our booster club doesn't give him at least 1,000 dollars for all his time. He's put in every second as much time as the head coach. IT IS A SHAME WHATS GOING ON WITH FOOTBALL AT GREENFIELD AND ITS ALL JACKIE VAUGHN'S FAULT!!!
  3. No Adam you are wrong. More people wouldn't go to Westview if they could. People in Greenfield and Gleason and even Dresden love their schools and want to play for their hometown teams. The problem is Greenfield is your father has run our freakin football program into the ground. Having one coach on staff to coach the high school football team is a joke! Your father gave idiots like David Dunlap tenure to coach nothing! That guy is a waste! Jackie Vaughn has single handedly hurt Greenfield's football program and it will take 10 years after Jackie is finally gone to fix it. Jackie Vaughn is a joke and I along with the rest of Greenfield will celebrate the day his is gone. McKenzie's principal told me he wanted to win in everything and he hated losing. That is what it takes and Greenfield doesn't have it...period
  4. I know they scrimmage Dyer County and looked decent. However lets be honest, both of those teams aren't very good. The one positive for Dresden though is they have a new coach. They have consistently been one of the worst coached teams in west tennessee for the last decade. I don't know if the new guy will be a lot better, but he can't be any worse. Another year missing the playoffs is all Dresden can look forward to.
  5. Anybody heard anything about Union City's new assistant coach? Who is it? Where is he from?
  6. Cheatham rolls in this game. If Gordonsville has that many players, then practice isn't hard enough. If you have more than fifty players, it is time to make practice a little tougher....just kiddin of course.
  7. I totally agree with you about CD. I still don't like that formation though. One more thing...I don't think CW is a young as you remember BC. How many seniors did they lose last year? I know it was in double digits. One of their coaches told me at Tunica that they played lots of seniors that didn't get it done. I don't expect them to make the playoffs this year. I think they'll finish sixth. I do think they are well coached though.
  8. Hey BC, I think coach Daniel and those guys are good coaches too. But I can't for the life of me figure out why they run that Maryland I formation. I think that is terrible. I don't know why anyone would want to run that unless they averaged 280+ across the line and didn't have much speed in the backfield. I like the wishbone better than that, at least you can run a good triple option out of the bone. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  9. You're an idiot. All this coming from an old drunk. That's hilarious. The man in question didn't even touch your son and he was trying to talk your son out of being a loser like his old man. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" Anyways I was at this game and I thought the coach did what he should have. This other person wasn't even taking part in the game. He never touched the field, and never spoke to the kids. He was there as a fan and tried to stop a child from making a huge mistake, which was incouraged by his lousy father. Oh well, that's life, and some people are idiots. However, there may be slander laws, and I don't know if the coaches looks at coacht or not, but you may want to be smart. I know that's hard for some. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> And like you said about playing ball and having fun and hanging out with friends. These kids that quit do plenty of hanging out when their parents are letting them drink and party. This is high school ball, still fun but serious. Not about hanging out with friends. That's the whole problem right there. ITS NOT SUMMER LEAGUE BALL!!!
  10. Cheatham lost to Lipscomb by 8. Everyone I talked to thought it would be 20 or more. I can't believe it. Maybe this coach is on to something here. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Good luck cheatham, when do they play next?
  11. Cheatham's gonna be fine. Like I said they can't do much worse. These coaches are doing fine. The one's who quit were either pansies or had bad attitudes. These kids can deal with it and play or these coaches seem like they'll get rid of them. I say more power to these coaches. If you have nine you can play. Kids these days need some respect and some discipline. It won't kill them. You have to "clean house" when taking over a terrible program like this one has been. If these coaches can get through this season without all these whinning kids and loser parents getting them fired, I will guarantee this program gets going correctly. I can't wait to meet this coach and shake his hand. Give em heck coach!
  12. That Cheatham thing cracks me up. They want to get these guys removed? They can't do any worse. Cheatham has been the worst team I've seen around here for the last few years. That's my Alma Mater so I hate saying that. They have had a couple decent players, but no discipline and poor leadership. Sounds like these guys are either trying to get some discipline in the program, or they aren't playing who the parents tell them too. Either way, they can't do any worse. If these guys coach football at Cheatham then I support them, because they have some good football coaches at Cheatham. I know its baseball, but they still must have discipline. The people there at Cheatham need to stink it up and play. Whoever posted that is a loser and is destined to be that way forever. Just shut up and play!!!

  14. I agree. Cheatham isn't a bad place to coach, but it isn't a dream job either. If this place where a little better funded, then it would be better. I agree, CF has done a marvelous job here, I've watched him for years. Someone needs to throw some money at him, and let him bring a couple of his guys in, and they could win some games with some talent.
  15. CF is ok with whatever big country says. I know for a fact that CF doesn't care what people say. Don't believe anything unless you've heard it from the horse's mouth. But who the heck are you knowledge man. Nobody knows who u r or where u r from. What gives you the right to wonder about what CF thinks? You are nobody of any importance here. Worry about your own west tn. B.S.
  16. No it just means that your coach is 80 years old and hasn't changed since he has been there.
  17. Hey wardawg, I hear that you guys are losing some coaches this year. Any news on whether or not you'll have any new openings for assistants? Just wondering.
  18. Are you guys kidding me? Sycamore is done! This was supposed to be "their year"? Yeah some year, they are not going to make the playoffs....again! They are terrible. I can only imagine how bad they are going to be next year when their one man team Austin Lohin graduates. I can't stand these guys, and I think it was funny that their idiotic coach got on their radio show and guaranteed wins and guaranteed they were going to the playoffs. What an idiot!!! However their cross county rivals the Cheatham County Cubs during a rebuilding year will be going to the playoffs it seems for the fifth year in a row. Its funny what good coaching and hard nosed players can get done. Sycamore needs to learn a valuable lesson and its called playing harder and talking less....I'm out! At least you sycamore guys can get your boats out a little sooner before it gets too cold on the river!!!
  19. East wins I don't think as close as people think though. More like...42 21 something like that. I think Dresden will score...until hewitt goes out of the game with cramps or something...but east will score at will all night.
  20. Stewart County guys...I admire your spirit. Really I do. You guys are trying to get better and I love it. Just be quiet until it happens. Gleason in a perennial terrible team, but they have a good coach in there now and he is making them much better. You guys should know, they beat you last year. Gleason won't role over and die for you. They'll put up a fight, but I think it will be a close game. Stewart county should win, but will they???
  21. Stewart County needs to have at least a .500 season before people talk about them making a "run."
  22. I don't know who these idiots are talking about Josh, but what they say is irrelevant. He is my friend, and I played ball with him. He was definately going to play D1 until he had his son. I know I went on recruiting visits with him to SEC schools. He was the best lineman I've ever seen in high school playing, and now he's coaching. He does have high self-esteem and sometimes talks too much, but he's a great guy and a wonderful father. Whoever says cheatham didn't get a good coach is crazy. This guy will always be successful wherever he goes. He will not settle for second best. That's just Josh. He may not turn the baseball team around in one year, but he'll get it there quickly. I'm sure whoever these guys are who have made accounts just to bash him barely know him or are jealous of the success he had playing and now starting to coach. I say give em heck josh, I'll support you buddy every step of the way!!! Can't wait to come see ya in week 1.
