Last year was the first time Alcoa ever ordered over 90 jerseys, per the coaching staff. I think more of the same in 07. Rebels 21, Big Wind 14. The difference lies in discipline and depth, as always.

Regularly? Yes. You'd struggle with Mo East as well, now that they have new coaching. Face it guys, 4A is the best football in this state. We boast record setting teams like Maryville, Hillsboro, Memphis East, Tennessee High, Memphis Melrose, etc. Even teams like Riverdale and Ooltewah would struggle against these teams, year in and year out. Hey, I like Fulton. I had a goof friend on the last two teams at Catholic. I have rooted for both at times. Watch MHS or Central sometime and tell me you honestly think Fulton or Catholic could hang. I saw the Fulton/Catholic reg season game last year. It was sloppy football...on both sides. Refs too haha. I dont mean disrespect, as I'm sure thats how you took it. I'm being real. I have been to the BCB in the Boro and watched all the games down there for the last 3 years. The smyrna team that beat Ravenwood last year is the only team that's concerned me vs. the 4A champ...

My assessment comes directly from the coaching staff. Poor mothing...maybe. He is concerned though....

East has the power to be good, but that antiquated offensive scheme will keep them from moving past round 3 usually. East and West need to ditch the veer or wang t either one. You have to be balanced to get by the Red Rebels of the world these days.... East has one of the best LB's in East TN returning.

Carter is in 3A for a reason (it wasn just enrollment). Fulton and Catholic would be too, after 1 year in 4A. Fulton was getting beat by Alcoa at one point last year. Catholic had a lot of help from the refs at Fulton. No one listed above could beat MHS and Central on a regular basis in today's game...

Pig, do you get to missing me sometimes? The Rebs will be overqualified to take Region 3, yet again. Their strong at every position but LB and RB. Those gaps will be filled by Week 1 though. Brent Burnette might break some of Cade Thompsons single season marks. The West Rebs have great skill position players, but are struggling along the line. Powell will really struggle in 2007. They graduated too much talent. Central will always be their characteristically strong self...just good enough for 2nd. SD might be the most improved team in 07, but that only means a 5th place finish, at best. Halls is a bit of an enigma right now. The QB had left the tema, last I heard and wil be replaced by an underclassman. They had planned a spread attack, but who knows now. Clinton has some depth and talent this year, but a few of the upperclassmen didnt think practice and team unity should be mandantory, so they bolted. That's it kids. The bobcats will have to play thru all kinds of injuries to survive an Eagles team that surprisingly lucky and good during the playoffs. I'm not sure they have the will to win away from home, but Central has proven me wrong before and I'm sure they'll try like heck to friday...

If no one in the press box gets punched out, I say Govs by a TD. Seriously, this is a life or death game as far as the playoffs go for these two teams. Both have big, powerfull RB's. Not a whole lot of difference between the two (both over 700 yards on the year). In close games like this, it'll be the little things that matter most. Special teams, game management, turnovers will mean everything. If WB can put together a WHOLE game like the last five minutes vs. Oak Ridge, this game wont be close. They've yet to do that though.

I give my vote top HTV in this arena. Govman is right thar in the mix though. As much as I like and appreciate Greg Judkins, that Mare-ee-ville routine kills me!!
