I just hope the next coach gets all the facts. When candidates were interviewed they were told it was the best team coming back in years. I doubt if you can find anyone on the staff that could have backed up that statement considererng the youth on the offensive line and just a really good athlete at QB not a true QB. Sounds like the administration got pushed because they were not committed to Beaubien. The AD came in with him and according to other posts has little experience and the new principal certainly need to give him more time as she was only with him for a year. It is always concerning when the loudest noise comes from outside the administration, possibly a disgrutled coach who did not get the job?

DO you really know anything about MJCA or are you like Murphy Fair who just thinks he knows everything? Those are some pretty strong statements and I would bet most of them are false. Yes, they are clearly out matched in D I and their move to DII, as stated by their AD in the paper and I heard the FB coach say the same the same thing on the radio, was not about athletics. They believe that the opportunity to help students and their families afford a christian college prep education can best be achieved by having some financial aid to offer those who qualify.

I was refering to the games that each team has played this season and the scores were not true indicators of the games. I am not sure what all the bible beating and preaching was about. Again, it will be closer than most people think.

I have seen both teams play and I would be careful about either one calling the other "Bush League". It will be much closer than most people on here so far seem to think. Don't let either teams' previous games score fool you, the scoreboard did not tell the whole story in either game.

I thought that there was a post that RBS beat Pickett Co tonight and was looking for verificaton. Guess not, it was right after the post looking for the final.

You may see a few of the smaller privates move over to DII especially the ones in 2A that go in the larger playoff groupings.

The Saints did not lose any seniors, because unfortunately for the second year in a row they did not have any. Therefore they are returning 22 starters with their QB Frazier and RB - LB Kocher leading the charge. There are 8-9 seniors on the roster for the fall and with the returning experience they will be better. I would not count on any upsets yet, but hopefully they will be more competitive. Any word on Heady leaving Monterey?

Word is that Baughn is the new HC to be announced at next school board meeting. I only know what I have read on here about him, but it seems strange that they are staying in house. I would have expected a fresh start. However, how many applicants were there and how many of those applicants fit into the teaching openings? I hope the QBC is not looking for a yes man or the program will be in trouble whoever it is. Booster clubs are for support of the program not running it.

It should apply so I guess you can only have 4 play at time. Great Idea except it may be tough for tssaa schools to play. I wonder if Lighthouse really thought this through, the flyers sya it okay through the tssaa, but you never know who they talked to. I will be suprised if anyypne sends their team up without a coach.

Kids can play they just cannot be coached until after the dead period. That keeps anyone from violating the TSSAA rules.

The Gridiron Club hires and fires coaches huh? I thought they were a booster club to support the team, at least they are at most schools. If the booster club truly has that much power then, there is a serious problem at Covington. As stated this isn't DIV I college FB and even they have to buy a coach out after more than 1 year.

I watched Beaubien many years at DCA. He is a great coach and will lead this program to success. Give him a shot to bring them to level he did at DCA. I'm sure they are learning a whole new offense and defense, and he only got hired in early-July. They had no opportunity to implement either during spring practice. He is basically starting from scratch in a tough region with a tough schedule. This time next year, lets see where he is at.

How many of the team members are in school there? If LCA plans on joining TSSAA then they will have to stop playing with home-schools students and play with enrolled students.
