  1. According to a couple of the officials I have asked about teams they swear they are assigned individually each week. I have to admit I have seen the same officials two nor more times in a season but never the same crew. Totally agree with the post about so called better crews getting better games competition and importance.
  2. Greenbrier and wh heritage might be solid schools but are you really going to put them in an academic equivalent to CPA and ensworth? Not elitist just fact check out act test scores and where their kids are going to college. Seriously apples and oranges-next you are going to tell me they all should play inthe same region because they are all simile size schools oops CPA is 3a like greenbriar and wh-h and thumped la who beat wh-h-
  3. You are obviously not familiar with t$$aa operations- anything that makes that Much sense would never get a first let alone a econd thought- put it to a coaches vote and I think most would vote for it. Oh yeah T$$AA doesn't listen to coaches or common sense.
  4. He can't recruit in DII-AA where is essentially legal, how is he going to do it at Goodpasture? One would think they would go with proven success or energetic potential, not sureeJJ has either.
  5. Wow hard core there. Is that what happened to last coach 3-7 in first year and he was fired.?Even Brentwood will give a guy 2 years. Good luck.
  6. Curious, Scott Smith is a common name coached against him in the past wasn't sure if it was him. I think he will find a way to win there.
  7. Same S.Smith the coached at Ezell Harding in early 2000 and won a state title?
  8. Stepped down to become AD. From my understanding DC schools do not allow ADs to coach. Took over as AD last week.
  9. Be curious to see how the "Guru's" list compared to the TSWA when it is out.
  10. 4 wins would be the most in 9 years at least.
  11. The board should not be involved in decision of hiring and firing anyone other than the headmaster. They make large policy decisions primarily agreeing to not agreeing to proposals. I too like nonutfan heard the same thing RP ran the whole show, I have also heard that he is not apart of the the new decision at all. Not sure who made that decision but sounds like a good one.
  12. Sloppy by both teams, DCA hurt themselves several times, their QB had a tough night. FCS QB ran well but only got loose 2 times. FCS figured out early stop 1 and 21 running and they win and did just that.
  13. FCS passing stats against DA last week 2-4 for 41 yards, 1 Int, 1 sack, 2 other scrambles, so of the 7 pass plays less than 50% were positive. Granted wet field and they ran the ball really well, but I too believe the passing game and pass defense are more than a little suspect. I have seen them play 5 times and not been impressed at all in pass or pass def.
  14. Not so sure that is true TN teams play out of state teams often, different system, so I believe it could be done, just use the home team officials. In total agreement that T$$AA is shady and not about kids and would love to see a revolt. Privates schools in TX have their own assoc. separate from public, maybe the privates will get the ball rolling here.
  15. " The fact that he is still an integral part of that program screams they aren't seriously committed to improving." Could be the understatement of the year.
  16. Not online this year, coaches must attend area meeting. T$$AA got into 21st century and then got right back out. Because they do nothing they felt like coaches who are only a little busy as FB season starts need to go listen bad interpretation of the NHFA rules and waste time.
  17. Why did he leave, did it just happen?
  18. No, and correct, Green left for that reason, I believe there has been at least one since then. This is why they are having trouble finding games.
  19. Good point and good post, have another nonUT, forget you were talking to yourself? ha ha
  20. Interesting perspective and well said.
  21. While all true should Webb be the bad guy because TSSAA is clueless and not about kids but all about money?
  22. I am not sure if that is the plan, but I believe it is a possibility. From my understanding he was contacted in the past for both the principals position and the Headmaster position, but obviously stayed and I am sure it was to get to retirement. Would he want to double dip as Headmaster at MJCA regardless of his ties? Time will tell.
  23. Maybe not but being scared is horrible way to lead an athletic program. Totally sends the wrong message to everyone, especially the kids.
