  1. Go Falcons!! It would be nice to call yourselves Region 3 Champs!!
  2. And a little play on something Spurrier said. During all the hype around the Alabama job, etc., he said "I’m tired of talking about all that. Miami, Alabama, Tennessee," Spurrier said. "Let me tell you a good rumor. My high school job is open — Science Hill High School (in Johnson City, Tenn.). And if things go real, real bad for me, I might have to consider that as a last alternative job."
  3. Football 2004 Class 5A Team Champions (15-0) 35-7 Murfreesboro Football 2001 Class 5A Team Champions (15-0) 35-7 Murfreesboro Football 1997 Class 5A Team Champions 34-18 Nashville Attendance - 8,000 Football 1994 Class 5A Team Champions 14-10 Nashville Attendance - 13, 500 Does 4 championships make you a dynasty? LOL
  4. Umm....no, they're not. They are in Region 4.
  5. There has never been, and never will be a team that can not be beat.
  6. No. The winner of the Covington/Dyersburg game will have home field advantage. Playoff Brackets
  7. Yeah, and we lose Haston, Mastin, and Dorris next year, plus a lot more. Agreed. I don't know the exact numbers, but they are way out of whack. And we will not be an elite team until they get more well rounded.
  8. I sure wouldn't miss that long drive to Cumberland County. Of course next year, the long drive is to Cookeville.
  9. I heard that Riverdale didn't even attempt a pass in that game. Is that true?
  10. He's a junior. Congrats to Riverdale. Good luck the rest of the way. Falcons, you gave it a good run. Defense played awesome last night. It's hard to stop a great team like Riverdale when they get 3 possessions with an extremely short field. When we had a little space to work with, the defense did a great job putting pressure on the QB and stopping the run for the most part. One quote in the other thread that got closed was that we wouldn't hold them to 24 points, but we held 'em to 27, even after giving them an easy 21 with 3 short fields. With a little better field position strategy, and the lack of those 3 big mistakes, this game could have been much closer. From the Tennessean: Go Falcons in '07!!
  11. I haven't heard anything about guarantees, but I know they are hungry for it.
  12. 54, 68, get them boys fired up!! You're right, bring your best, no letting up 'til the 4th quarter buzzer sounds. Even if we get behind, Lebanon showed it's never too late. 19 better have a good game too, or I'll take care of him.
  13. I'm sure D.B. didn't think they could lose to a 6-4 team. Neither did Gallatin. Neither did Franklin think they would lose to a 5-5 team. If it was just a pick 'em, we wouldn't have to go out in the cold each week. Just pick your favorite team, and stick 'em in the finals. Anything can happen when 2 teams line up on the field, and if L.C. will get it in their head that they CAN beat Riverdale, you will see a different team out there. Sounds like LC68 believes, and I know there are many others on that team that believe. So, Falcons, let's go to their house and play 48 minutes of tough, mistake-free football, and see how it turns out. LC68, make sure they ALL believe!! LC..LC..LC!!
  14. He was going to play last night, but his knee got hit again in a weird horseplay incident.
  15. I didn't even realize he was in the end zone. I was on the other end of the stadium. Pitiful call...
  16. It looked clearly like a 2 hand push to me. I also didn't understand the no call on what looked like intentional grounding to me when the CC QB was about to get sacked deep in their own territory. I was pretty far away, but at least 2 refs threw their bean bags, and it looked like they only had 2 options, grounding or fumble. Of course, they called it an incomplete pass. It's all a moot point now. Congrats to the Falcons. I thought they played the best complete football they have played all year last night, other than the fumbles. Something HAS to be done there. Nobody is going to the 5A state championship game with 5 fumbles per game.
  17. All I know is it's supposed to be similar to the "Air Bud" movies. I think the name is supposed to be "For the Love of a Dog" or something like that. There is some HS football action in it and they are supposed to do some filming at LC starting at the Coffee County game. Also supposed to do some filming of balls being thrown to receivers and the dog getting involved somehow. I couldn't figure out why they picked LC, but who knows.
  18. Yeah, I've been checking that one out. It's getting a little heated. Did y'all hear about part of a movie that will be filmed at LC? LC will be part of the HS football action in the movie.
  19. Who wins?? :justwrestle: I'm bored.....
  20. Yeah, there's no quit in that Oakland team. Great game by both teams. I don't trust unapproved website projections anymore. 54, O-line looked good. Y'all keep it up!! I agree about the refs at the Hazel Green game last year. Revenge baby!!! LOL
