We can all speculate on who would have beaten who, if whomever was healthy, and all that crap. Scoreboard is all that counts. AND FORREST GOT SCOREBOARD!!! As the old saying goes, "If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a merry Christmas."

This is the toughest district I believe in the state...and any of the 5 top teams in this district could compete in any district... [/quote 7A is ONE of the toughest districts in single A. However, don't forget about the district with Summertown, Wayne Co., Perry Co., and Collinwood. It is pretty tough as well.

I could be wrong, but most kids work for a TSSAA state championship. Only those involved with AAU remember who wins their state tournaments. People who are only vaguely familiar with basketball can probably name at least one of last year's TSSAA state champions.

The state game against Madison was probably the worst they played all year. Give Madison some credit for that but when you shoot 21 percent for the game, it's a bad night. I'd give Madison a lot of credit for the 21% shooting. They played great D and forced a lot of turnovers. With that being said, It's not last year. Good luck to all!

I know very little about East TN basketball, but I saw Oliver Springs play last year at the State Tournament. Madison Academic smoked them, but in the program it looked like they had a young team. Are they the favorite in this district?

My kids are not old enough for me to give a real-life answer, but I think one of life's valuable lessons is learning how to succeed in difficult situations and helping those around you raise their performance level.

I am surprised so many parents are willing to go along with that line of thinking. My kids will not be dictating where we live.

I think the 9A championship will belong to Forrest. They should win their region as well. Their sub-state match-up will be tough as it could be against one of the following teams: Wayne Co., Summertown, Collinwood, Moore Co., or Jamie Roper's Richland. If they advance from the sub-state, they have a good chance of being back in the state championship game. With all of this being said, the season hasn't even begun yet. The Lady Rockets have a lot of talent returning, but they lost their senior leadership. It will be interesting to see if Forrest can recapture the chemistry they had at the end of last season. I'll bite. What does JC have this year? JC seemed to graduate a lot players last year & the freshman post player transferred to Smith Co. I have also heard rumors of other players leaving. Dyer is definitely a talented player, but I have no idea who will be on the floor with her. Jim Brown has a knack for assembling great teams. Can someone who is familiar with the program provide some insight? Thanks.

I don't think anyone has forgotten Clarkrange, but I'll bet that some RBS fans believe that Clarkrange will not win the district.

That's a pretty tough comparison. Forrest was on a roll at the end of the year and Summertown hasn't done particularly well in the state tournament. No disrespect to Summertown. I think they are probably the best team in the state this year.

Didn't Jackson County beat Summertown by 30+. Even with their point guard, I doubt Summertown would have beaten JC.

I don't know all of the teams but the obvious choices seem to be: Smyrna V. Shelbyville Forrest V. Clarkrange
