  1. If nothing else, i've been blessed by this thread in seeing the number of God Fearing Posters we have on here. We all "hide" behind a screen name on here to talk trash on a daily basis and because of that we don't realize that behind the screen name is a real person. To see that many of you all are just like me, a sinner saved by God's Grace, is truly a blessing. Our community (TC), as probably most everyone's, is also experiencing some difficult times as several families are facing battles with the C word. Hartsville is coming together is a great way and I just pray that God uses each and every one of these situations to further his kingdom, spread his love and let his will be done.
  2. Prayers for your guys. Football means nothing in the grand scheme of things. I pray that ultimately God gets all the glory from this horrible situation and many will find his peace from it. God bless this entire community.
  3. i dont know the specifics but for sure a knee. he attempted to tackle Hicks but was knocked off by his own man fell strangely and immediately reached for it. Hope he has a successful recovery and get back. Kid has a bright future. interesting. nice burner account too. but you could be correct. Anything is possible.
  4. Yea it was on Facebook. I dont remember what the page was called but bet you could find it with a "East Robertson Football/Athletics" type of search. I didn't find it until they were shaking hands but did go back to specifically watch the play that the Groves kid was injured on, Nasty and some of the highlights. But its not just a live stream, they have 2 commentators doing the play by play and they try to interact with the viewers. They knew very little about TC football and were asking alot of questions.
  5. I'm just hoping we get to the 3rd round. Nothing is guaranteed. If we both get there, transfers or not, i believe it will be another classic!
  6. Hicks scores again. 21-3 with 7 mins to go in 3rd
  7. Seeing (or in my case hearing) is believing!
  8. The Tony kid sounds like a load. @TCRadio
  9. Reg 3 & 4 #1s & #2s will most likely being advancing to R2. But it is 2020.
  10. By the Numbers: Week 8 Review: The last homestand of the Yellow Jackets 2020 Regular Season saw the Purple and Gold in the endzone a lot! Bryson Claiborne made his return to action after missing several weeks due to injury and started things off with a 31 yard run on the 1st possession. Jadyen Hicks made the next 2 possessions count with runs of 5 and 19 and the Jackets were up 21-0 at the end of the 1st. The ensuing kickoff saw Portland catch lighting in a bottle as the return man flashed down the sidelines for the score. Hicks’ 3rd and 4th scores of the night covering 20 yds and 18 yds respectively sandwiched at Portland score and the Jackets took at 35-14 lead into half. Cameron Rankins 4 yd run and Chasse’s kick made it 42-14 in the 3rd. An errant snap by Portland was kicked out the back of the endzone and scored the home team 2, then Jordan Pickett rumbled in from 24 yds out to make the score after 3, 51-14. Cole Gregory started the 4th qrt off with his first career TD and Colton Key added to try to put Trousdale Co. up 58-14. Portland would add 7 more midway through the fourth for a final of 58-21. Next up, the boys will head south and jump back into Region play with the Cascade Champions. Cascade's 2020 Review: The Champions look to continue the streak as they have won 3 straight and carry a 4-3 record overall and 1-2 in Region 4 2A. They have wins over 1A Huntland, 2A Community, 2A Jackson Co. and 3A Cannon Co. Their losses have been to 1A Moore Co., 2A East Robertson, and 2A Watertown. Cascade is scoring 19.6 PPG while giving up 12 PPG. Their scheduled opponents have combined for a 36-36 record. Trousdale Co. 2020 Review: The Yellow Jackets will make the trek to Wartrace hoisting a 6-2 record overall and 2-1 in Region 4. They have wins over White House, Gordonsville, Westmoreland, Macon Co, East Robertson and Portland and losses to Friendship Christian and Watertown. They are putting up 27.6 PPG, while allowing 11.6 PPG. Teams on the Jackets calendar this year have combined for a 36-33 record. Trousdale Co. Stat Highlights: Through 8 games, the Jacket Offense is gaining an average of 275 yds on the ground on an average of 40 rush attempts. They average 10 yds through the air. Defensively they are allowing 110 yd rushing per game and 73 yds passing per game. On average, the Jackets commit 5.5 penalties for 48 yds a game. Common Opponents: The 2020 season schedules for the Yellow Jackets and Champions share Region 4 opponents . At this point in the season both squads have faced East Robertson (Cascade lost to the Indians in W2 28-10 while TC played them in W7 and won 49-6.) and Watertown (The Purple Tigers defeated the Champions 35-0 in W4 and the Yellow Jackets 9-7 in W2). Rankings: Sonny Moore Computer Power Rankings. Trousdale Co. following Week 8 sits in 63rd, which was 5th in 2A while there scheduled opponents having an average rank in this poll of 176.7. Cascade is team 197, which is 22nd in 2A, and their opponents average a rank of 198.8 in this poll. The Massey Ratings show the Yellow Jackets at 105 which is 4th in 2A, and their scheduled opponents average a rank of 209.1 in this poll. The Champions this week were rated as team 241 which is 26th in 2A and their opponents have an average rank in this poll of 225.7. Max prps 2A Rankings Trousdale Co. is 6th. Cascade is 21st. CoachT 2A Stength Rankings Trousdale County is 9th while this weeks host is 20th. 2A AP Rankings following week 8, the Yellow Jackets sit in 8th. Cascade was not ranked in this poll. Match-Up History: This series is still a babe as the 2 schools will clash for only the 5th time this week. In 2010, the 2 met in the playoffs for the first time and the Jackets won 35-14. The last 3 seasons have been Region Games with Jackets winning in 2017 42-0, 2018 48-7, and last year 44-0. My Take: The Champions may be playoff bound for the first time in several years. They have shown great improvement from the last few years but their winning streak will end at 3. Trousdale Co. will continue their dominance of the Thoroughbreds and race their way to the bye week. Much like the previous 2 weeks, the starters will have a short night. Go Jackets!
  11. haha well Im personally not upset if Watertown remains in 2A. They are a quality competitive opponent that only helps ready the Jackets for post-season play. I know we can schedule up with non region games and TC always attempts to do so but one less good game to have to try to find makes it easier. Also, I'd also hate to have them go 3A as the reigning region champ. The banter on the T would also stink. None of the other schools in Region 4 have the same level of posters (i know Westy has a couple of faithful followers).
  12. Based on these numbers, Watertown is the 2nd or 3rd biggest 2A school so they are right on the line. Really depends on who is drawing the lines and how they are drawn.
  13. I'm calling it. This will be the upset of the year! Jackson Co. finds a way to get it done. Just kidding. The Purple Tiger water may not have the same fire in it that the Blue Devil's does but they also wont smolder to death. Tigs - ALOT, JC - alittle.
  14. Slide Scotts Hill to Reg 5 and both problems solved. My Ignorance of specific location of West Schools is shining bright right about now! I think Forrest and Cascade could go either way but in my opinion they should be moved together. East vs West # of schools will never be even but does T$$AA try to make it as close as possible?
  15. With ER's Groves potentially done for the year (Thats what I heard Friday but dont know for sure), go ahead and put a nail in their coffin. W11 Westmoreland vs. Cascade could be for 3rd place. Bledsoe barely beat a undefeated Monterey. Monterey has not played anyone yet. the 5 teams they have beat have combined for 11 wins (2 Covid) and Jackson Co. was the only team with a winning record (Monterey won 12-6). I know comparing scores can get you into trouble BUT..... The above guides me towards the thought that R3 will look very familiar in Quad 2. And if thats the case, I pray that all are healthy. It will be another classic if so.
  16. I dont blame you their. I may had rather make that drive as well! haha Both schools make more sense geographically in Reg 5 for Reg 5's sake but they are both the farthest teams East i think and would be the first ones to slide over if they are trying to even East vs West. Assuming the 49 schools listed are locks and no changes, and Forrest and Cascade go West, then the West will have 28 teams vs 21 in the East.
  17. Would Forrest move East into Region 4 to give East more teams?
  18. Here is my shot at placing the 2A schools based on how @Indian had them broken up. This puts 23 schools in the East and 26 in the West. Cumberland Gap could go 1 or 2 but if they go 2, then Reg 1 only has 4 teams. Could Jackson Co. go Reg 2 with Monterey and York? maybe. Moved Forrest to Reg 4. 1 Hampton High School 9/21/2020 383 1 Sullivan North High School 9/10/2020 421 1 Happy Valley High School 9/10/2020 456 1 South Greene High School 9/16/2020 526 1 Cumberland Gap High School 9/4/2020 523 2 Wartburg Central High School 9/14/2020 383 2 Oneida High School 9/15/2020 386 2 Meigs Co. 19. Y’all took the words right outta my mouth. York and Oneida are only 15-20 miles apart I think. Then and Monterey are closer East than they are middle in my opinion. Reg 4 could stay intact although Cascade is a stretch to be there.
  20. First, Congrats on the "better half"! Lucky Man! Remember these words, "Happy Wife, Happy Life"! Seriously though, I pray God Blesses your future together! Now for your region. ER to York! 140 miles one way! Sheesh! Glad we are only 100 miles one way. Jamestown is a pretty drive for sure!
  21. Don't let scores fool you. No doubt they are playing better but the level of competition hasn't been there either. As for the ol health-o-meter......it reads "gettin there".
  22. #2 for Portland is a baller. I believe he had 2 if not all 3 of their scores. Outside of him, the entire Panther traveling party was dead. They had no energy about them at all. They were beat before they got there. I have not received the stats yet but I don’t recall the Jackets ever punting or having any turnovers.
  23. Work schedules seem to be causing issues with the studio time for the Burma Road boys, so not sure there will be an episode released today or not. With that, here is my weekly bit planned for this week's podcast. By the Numbers: Week 7 Review: Queen. Indians. Victory! For the second week in a row, the Jackets played in a Homecoming game, but this one was not their own and they wrecked the party! Penalties littered the Jackets first drive, but they were persistent and Jayden Hicks would find the endzone from 37 yards out. Unfortunately for East Robertson, on Hick’s run the highly taunted Taylor Groves would suffer an apparent knee injury and would not return. The Jackets led 7-0 after the 1st. The 2nd quarter saw the scoreboard get lit up by the visitors as Linarez scored on a 26 yard run, Keenan Burnley ran the sneak from 2 yards out, Jordan Pickett and Cameron Rankins both found paydirt from 3 yards out and the Jackets would lead 35-0 at the break. In all, the Jackets had 5 possession with 5 TDs while the Indians struggled and finally got a first down on the last play of the half. Linarez would add to the lead in the 3rd and the 4th qrt started with a 42-0 lead for Trousdale Co. Kyle Shockley who blocked a punt in the 3rd, would complete the first TD pass of the year for the Jackets when he found his classmate Brian Banks alone. The play covered 18 yards. Chasse’s PAT kick capped off his perfect night to make the score 49-0. The Indians would score late and attempt a 2 pt conversion that failed. The Jackets loaded up on the bus with a 49-6 victory. Ahead of them now is the last home game on the schedule that will feature a visit from the 4A Portland Panthers. Portland's 2020 Review: Portland travels to the Creekbank with a 2-5 record. They have losses to 3A Westview, 4A Montgomery Central, 4A Greenbrier, 4A White House Heritage, and 4A White House. They defeated 2A Forrest, and 5A West Creek. The Panthers are scoring 20.9 PPG while giving up 28.6 PPG. Their scheduled opponents have combined for a 40-23 record. Trousdale Co. 2020 Review: The Purple and Gold look to defend the home turf and their 5-2 record. They are 2-1 in Region 4. They have wins over White House, Gordonsville, Westmoreland, Macon Co, and East Robertson and losses to Friendship Christian and Watertown. They are putting up 23.3 PPG, while allowing 10.3 PPG. Teams on the Jackets calendar this year have combined for a 35-31 record. Trousdale Co. Stat Highlights: The Jackets have seen 12 different players carry the ball this year. The Top 3 have been: Cameron Rankins with 61 rushes, totaling 337 yds and 4 tds is sitting in 3rd. 2nd leading rusher is Jordan Pickett who’s carried the ball 72 times for 446 yds and 3 scores. The leader thus far this season is Jayden Hicks who has only had 48 attempts but covered 449 yds and found the endzone 4 times. Common Opponents: The 2020 season schedules Trousdale County and Portland have White House as the only similarity. The Jackets faced the Blue Devils back in Week 2 and won 34-14 while the Panther faced them last week and suffered a 32-31 loss. Rankings: Sonny Moore Computer Power Rankings. Trousdale Co. following Week 6 climbed up to 83rd, which was 5th in 2A while there scheduled opponents having an average rank in this poll of 164.1. The Panthers were team 235, and their opponents average a rank of 176.1 in this poll. The Massey Ratings show the Yellow Jackets at 106 which is 4th in 2A, and their scheduled opponents average a rank of 209.2 in this poll. Portland this week is rated as team 224 and their opponents have an average rank in this poll of 178.3. Maxe prps 2A Rankings Trousdale Co. rises up 1 place to 6th. CoachT 2A Stength Rankings Trousdale County is tied for 8th. 2A AP Rankings following week 6, the Yellow Jackets were in 9th. Match-Up History: The match-up is an old one. I show that this will be the 34th time the 2 schools have faced off, with Trousdale Co. leading the series 20-13. Last year’s game was in a monsoon but that didn’t faze the Jackets as they won 37-7. My Take: The Jackets have finally started clicking the last couple of weeks and the results on the field have been great. Portland I’m sure will present some new things that they have not seen this year, so preparation and doing the little things right will be key this week. I fully expect the Jackets to take care of business this week and the reserves to again get some playing time in. Go Jackets.
