LOL I have always liked the JB program but that doesn't mean I (or anybody) have to sugar coat everything ... this is a message board ... opinions and comments get posted... a least there has been something to talk about the last 24 hours ... And a couple times ain't constantly but you got it! It would have been good for our programs to play 1A teams that are top ten teams year in and year out

LOL...did you not even read the first part of the post????? I have to take up for my area team on this. The TSSAA set the rules for classifications. SM played in the classification according to those rules. They are 2A State Champs. Quit with the sour grapes already. The 1A State Champs SP Pirates played them to the wire and came about as close as anybody (along with FC and TC) to beating them (and mercy ruled them last year). We are playing them again for the next 2 years even though they are 3A size playing up in 4A. I was talking about how good SM was and how SP, TC and FC all played them close this year. Reading comprehension not your strong suit?? LOL

Sorry seven but you are just plain WRONG...I never said it and since I never said it you could have never referenced it and I didn't have to delete something that wasn't there. Get your facts straight. There may be some other SP posters that would say that but not me and that's why you can't find it As far as the devils and their undefeated road to the playoffs....they should play some tougher teams and see what happens. Both TC and SP do.

Prob isn't gonna happen. After talking it up before the game I think the JB coach decided later he didn't want another dose of the Pirates to mess up his easy run through regular season. He did a little crawfishing!!

You are kidding right? Polk had one of the toughest roads in the playoffs...They beat a good Tyner 18-13 and played CAK (11-2 losing to Alcoa twice) to the wire 28-21. CAK played Alcoa (15-0)closer than anybody except Maryville (who they also beat) all year. The way I see it CAK was the 2nd best team in 2A and Polk was the 3rd. If they are in the other East bracket they are in the Semis or if they were in the West they are playing in the state game

Our experienced receivers don't always run good routes...some need more discipline.. just think we will run more. More worried about leadership .. we have tons of talent no matter which O we run. I had a pretty good idea who would step up this year... and they did towards the end of the season. This bunch?... they will have to show something in spring

I'm just the opposite. I see a move back to the WingT and some gun like in 2007 and 2008. I think that will give our running game a boost and get the ball in the hands of more of the play makers more often. Coach Grider believes in run first. No inside info just my guess based on the talent we have.

Hmmm...Polk may disagree with you since they have beaten us 2 years in a row.

The problem is some of these schools (Bledsoe, Grace, etc) regularly beat us by big margins in boys/girls basketball, baseball and softball. The real issue is playing us in all sports. If you don't want to play us in football that is fine but don't expect us to play you in those other sports. And I agree about the TSSAA screwing things up. Playing and losing to tougher opponents should not hurt you in the playoffs. There should be allowances for playing good teams otherwise this will continue to be a problem
