Don't listen to that noise, we jumped on them 5 -0 right out of the gate the first game, their coach pulled his starters after the second inning. We didn't have the depth they did and ran out of pitching the second game. Cole and Davis had pitched Friday and Saturday complete games and Short (freshman) having pitched Saturday. They pitched 2-2-1 the Last game. JPll is a good team that is twice the size of Cascade and Huntland. We played 5 games going 4-1 they played 4 going 3-1. We all played Friday through Sunday, they played Sat and Sun., you can draw your own conclusions. We can compete with those guy's and would anytime anywhere. and so can Cascade.

The JPII coach pulled the entire first string in the 1st game, ya'll were playing against freshman. Congrats on having a good tournament, but no way you beat them straight up, no offense meant.

 

Now Brentwood Academy and MBA are a different story, they handed JPII their hats and the Knights better not have any more down days come play-off time or they won't make State.

Baloney! Key word in your post should have been "during" the game. You were beat in the first game and the coach knew it, when he pulled his starters. I was there, we play Huntland soon and it's not an easy place to get to so scouting them this weekend worked out. JPll has two fine prospects, (my opinion)SS and CF, other than that they seemed pretty good, given the size of the school. Given your Dll and your schedule, I doubt you lose another game. If your pitching holds up, you should win it all. Good luck!

Don't make excuses when a pretty good baseball team beats you when you didn't play well. Your better than them, you just weren't that first game. They have a couple of prospects too.

Just admit you got beat!!! True the starters were pulled- but only after you were getting your butts kicked and yes you did come back in win but then again you should. You are D2 and we are a small community school with a good baseball team. Give us some credit and don't try to sugar coat losing. Great job Hornets. Keep working hard. There is still alot of baseball to be played.

OK, ya'll win... and we certainly appreciate your kind words about the rest of the season, but that other D2 region is loaded, BGA, BA, FR are all good. I just hope we have a good run at the end, and can be respectable.
