I wounder about some kids from teams like maryville, alcoa, fulton , oakridge , and teams like that some of the numbers they put up?

BigWesDad, are you still at Gaines or did you leave for Gold's?  I've heard they lost quite a few to chrome land.  I just train at school and in the garage.  Nobody yells at me there if I drop a lift.

We are still at Gaines but train squats at my home gym. I still have most of my bars and bumper plates at gaines.

 

Nothing wrong with garage gyms. My best squat to date came in my home gym.

New Harlan Eliis weighs 200 pds and he benched 400 squated 600 and powercleaned 395

Wes Johnson of Mt. Juliet has squatted 805 officially in a powerlifting meet. He is 17 and currently a junior.

 

He did the squat in front of 3 judges in a sanctioned meet. One judge was a world level judge and another was a national judge.

 

His lifts for that meet were 805 squat, 500 bench-in a meet it has to be paused and locked out evenly and deadlifted 575.

 

I'd venture to say that's the biggest squat by a high school student in this state as this was a national record.
