Bledsoebtheboys
Inside the park homeruns shouldnt even count as a homerun, because usually they are just doubles in the gap that turn into homeruns 825652612 USUALLY AN ERROR HAS OCCURRED FOR SOMEONE TO GET AN INSIDE THE PARK HOME RUN.......THE STAT KEEPER JUST SCORES IT AS A HOME RUN..... Guest diamond fan
14 home runs in a season is quite an accomplishment, but out of curiosity, does she play on fields with a fence, or are they balls just hit in gaps and roll a long way? 825652416 13 of the 14 homeruns were hit out of the park on 200' fences, or greater. The one that wasn't was hit at the Border Battle on 300 foot fence, (she crossed home plate before the ball made it back into the infield, so I'd qualify that one). Spectators present said it went at least 230 in the air. She hit 7 out last year, as an eighth grader playing high school, then 7 more for Extreme Edge (14) in summer travel. As for competition, Columbia Academy has long had the reputation of participating in strong tournaments, and will never be accused of playing lightweights. Please don't automatically assume that there must be a reason that a Freshman has hit that many? Maybe she's a great hitter????? Keep it up, Shelby!!!!! At McKnight Park last fall one almost hit a car in the parking lot. If you know the park you understand the distance. Don't even think about throwing rise balls. She is a great hitter, but she is young and like other 14 year olds not used to seeing a real rise. She is however a good hitter.

Hang one up there, and watch it fly!!

Lot's of girls claim to throw a rise...but few actually do..or at least have the upward movement. Ask a GOOD hitting coach and he will tell you....How do you hit a rise ball......You don't....you just don't swing! Take the ball!
