hfa had a great weekend. carly hill did a good job on the mound all weekend, even with the difficult weather conditions. everyone contributed for hfa--it was a great thing to see everybody do something really great at least once this weekend. particularly, 2 freshmen that don't get a lot of varsity time made big plays in key games--courtney cullen came in and got a big out in the outfield (with a broken finger) and kristina west sprinted home to tie the powell game on a squeeze. i am proud of the seniors, jackie simpkins and candi polk, for being such great leaders and for providing so much comic relief in the dugout these girls don't get a lot of publicity, but will do great things in the world once they graduate.

once the sleet (!) started in the semifinals, things went downhill quickly. soddy-daisy was just too much at that point. they played great.
