SO sad...My daughter has played against her in school ball for many years...she was a GREAT softball player and i admired her...My prayers are with her family and friends...also Beth her cousin as I know they were very close.

I so agree with this...specially this part.... You cannot change it and in my experience there are always parents at the high school level that have the coach in there back pockets. It is not always the best players that are put on the field and some great players are cut or put in situations where they are forced to make decisions regardless of there love for the game. Thank God for summer travel teams and the exposure the girls get on them. If it was all about school ball the college coaches would miss out on some good players that never make the teams or don't get to play because of politics.

I don't know this particular situation but I sure know about politics in softball...my daughter has played travel ball since she was 8 years old and when she got to high school she stuck it out almost three years before the politics got to be so bad she couldn't take it anymore...thats why I like travel ball so much more...the best players play there and it doesn't matter who the parents are.

I heard Columbia plays between 9-2 on Saturday and the last game being against Hendersonville...not positive about that tho. I hope the Ladies do good..they have always been a better team then they end up if you know what I mean...anyone know when Lincoln County plays? Id like to go see Chelsea. Yes i decided to edit....best to let it go as hard as it is and as much as it still bothers me!

I'm not sure why Susan left....u'll have to ask her....the back up catcher left earlier in the year so I'm not sure who will catch altho I heard Emily Lester is back.
