Wow, I was kind of hoping that Notre DAme's scoreless streak would continue, but if there was a team that could have done it, McCallie was certainly it. Who got the goals and how was the game?

i actually missed both goals..i got ther late int he firs thalf and it was already 1-0..while i was there mccallie had more chances. they moved the ball around well and attacked a lot more than ND did. they had ND playing defense most of the game and they couldnt get anything going offensively. i left in stoppage time and then mccallie scored again. mccallie wanted the game a lot more than ND wanted it if u ask me.

I will agree with my friend... McCallie just wanted it more. they did well in midfield with PJ and Nouri. (sp) ND just lacked a little punch 2day. I got to the game with 15 left in the first half right after the first goal by Chris P and McCallie didn't really have many more chances the rest of the half but they still had the better of play. In the second half McCallie still had the better opportunities. As the game progressed you could see that ND was starting to push forward and McCallie capitalized with a few chances when ND would get stunk up field. Nouri (sp) had a few chances that i think he shoulda shot near the 18 but passed it off and another player got the shot. In stoppage ND got stunk up once again and McCallie made them pay. A good ball out of midfiled sprung one of the McCallie forwards to be one on one with a defender. He beat the defend and either they clipped heals or the defender clipped his own heels but the defender went down and the striker went to goal. Robby came out and the kid shot it and it deflected off of the inside of Robby's foot (i think) and to Stone who was crashing the middle the defender was on the outside of Stone so there was no real pressure and he just burried it.

Overall it was a good game- as a neutral observer i think McCallie deserved to win and the main difference was in the middle of the pitch. McCallie just outworked ND in the middle and it showed with good opportunities. Well done to both teams for the exciting match and good luck as tourny time approaches.

I didn't see the first goal. Second goal was a breakaway by Joel Bradford that resulted when Nick Kidd lost his footing as the last man back. Joel took it in and put it through Robby's legs but was only trickling toward the goal, then the ball was tapped home the rest of the way by Jamey Stone (not sure on that part). Great game by McCallie. All streaks come to an end, this one was bound to end for ND.

Great job McCallie, sorry that I couldn't make it. Great job Chris P. to break the unscored upon streak!!!!!!!!!! Glu is good but human. Great job Jamey to be there for the finish. Great to see McCallie get clean up goal every once in a while. Being at the right place at the right time is priceless Jamey. WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOE! Great job McC.

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
