Rumor is that CCS will drop out of the region tournament due to an eighth grader Washington DC field trip (three of their players are eighth graders). Now Whitwell will play in their place.

they should have to play in region or give trophy back if they already knew they were not going to region they should not have played in district. i heard whitwell is not going to regions no matter what

If Whitwell don't go then it will be South Pitt. Each district has to have two representitives.

I don't think that was their motivation but if you have talked to someone and know that is true I could stand corrected.

 

It is unfortanate. Not sure about Whitwell not going but CCS won and got to play in the district final. Sitting out of the whole district tournament would have weakened the overall play. (as far as teams being represented)

 

Whitwell should go and if they can't it should be S. Pittsburg.

 

District 6-A could just forfeit that first game of region. Then the first place team from District 5-A would have a forfeit in the first round. I hope someone gets to go.

You get a runner up plaque for second place. They were playing because they still had a chance to be district champs. I believe if you can't represent your district as the champ ( if they won), in the region tournament, then don't play in the district tournament.
