homerun29
Well, the regular season is finally over in district 4AAA. What a year it has been! A lot of exciting baseball has been played throughout the course of this year and I could only hope it would continue on into district play. First games start on May 6th at Farragut and South Doyle. The teams in the Farragut bracket are: Farragut, Sevier County, Maryville, and Heritage/William Blount. The teams in the South Doyle bracket are: South Doyle, West, Bearden, and William Blount/Heritage. Its going to be a great district tournament this year with some tough teams competing to go to region to face the very powerful Halls. bizazz
I thought Sevier County and West still had a game to play to determine the 7 and 8 spot? They were rained out last week. If William Blount ends up with SD and Bearden, that'll be a competitive pool.

homerun29
OK, thank you for correcting me on that. I thought that they had already played and West had won. I'm not 100% sure on that being the pool play set up right now, but from the looks of things, that's what its going to be.
hmslb32
Farragut pool - Farragut, Maryville, Heritage, and Sevier County South Doyle pool- South Doyle, Bearden, William Blount, and West
bizazz
The South Doyle pool looks brutal.
hmslb32
The South Doyle pool will be very competitive, but WB and West pitching has to be a concern for both teams. WB lost their ace, and West lost alot of good pitching from last year. Edited May 4, 2005 by hmslb32
bertierfhstd
Let's be honest. Farragut and South Doyle will be in the championship because of their great pitching. Tony D. will lead the Admirals all the way once again.
guru5
Farragut pool - Farragut, Maryville, Heritage, and Sevier County South Doyle pool- South Doyle, Bearden, William Blount, and West 825664338[/snapback] Sevier Co beat West in their final matchup. That tied them for 7th. They neither one beat anyone in the district and Sevier owns the coaches tie breaker. So I believe that Sevier is 7th and West is 8th. Is that correct? Bizazz, do you know? homerun29
I heard that West wins the tie breaker. I'm not 100% sure on that, but I think that was the final verdict. The coaches have a meeting today, so we'll all know by tonight.
bizazz
If the tiebreaker comes down to drawing a number out of the hat, then I have no idea who gets it. If I'm not mistaken I believe the Bearden-West seeding came down to a similar tiebreaker last year.
guru5
West and Sevier beat each other and no one else in the district. The next tie breaker would have been who beat who in the district, that is out. Next tie breaker is the coaches draw and Sevier wins that. Therefore Sevier is 7th and West is 8th. The Farragut pool seems like the more favorable of the two. If there is a favorable one!
