Strong reports on the radio say that Eddie will very soon be sporting #27 for the Tennessee Titans this upcoming fall. He won't start with Chris Brown being the man now, but he will add much needed depth in the backfield and maybe he can teach Brown some toughness which he seems to lack for a guy who wants to be a featured back in the NFL.

Pro athletes, especially the top echelon of athletes have the most difficult time accepting when their careers are at an end. They have been taught their whole lives to never stop, never use the word can't and never give up. After many years of that programmed mentallity, the inevitable "crash" occurs. Their mortality stares them in the face after a series of major failures. When you've been told that you are superman by your peers, that you set the benchmark for ability and desire, failure cannot be an option. That's why so many of these athletes have such a hard time with it. Not all are this way but many are.

It wasn't until Eddie went to Dallas in the last of the season before it all crashed. Eddie, even if he doesn't come back, still has $400,000 against our cap this final year. So, if they pay him $700,000, it will only be $300,000 more against our cap which is pennies at this point. And, if he can come back to Nashville and face his fans he left, surely we can welcome him back with open arms. After all, this guy gave it up for us for many years. He deserves this chance if he is willing to humble himself and get an opportunity to go out in style thumb

Did they say whether or not it would include his 3 yards clause as it has in previous seasons? You know, that after he runs 3 yards, he is allowed to fall down! :P

J/K I think Eddie would be a fine addition to the Titans and should be healthy after sitting out most of last season!

I think they are crazy. They should be pressuring Buffalo to trade Henry to them. He would come a lot cheaper now than pre-draft.

George is washed up. Signing him would only reinforce the 3-13 season that is upcoming for them.

I agree with ERA, he wont count very much against the cap if he is signed, so if you can get him fairly cheap, then why not give him a second chance?

i just don't see why you would want to waste the money - maybe hire him to WORK with a young guy to be a backup but he was good in his prime but he is BEAT UP and just can't get the job done like he used to

Remember, it has been a long time since the man has had contact, so maybe he has healed up and ready to help the Titans back to the playoffs!
