Class 5A: Region 3 Favorites

Well i've run it through my head hundreds of times and i think we'll have a 4A and a 5A.  But i don't know which would be which.  But i don't think that there is anyway to not have 2 AAA'a in Baseball/Basketball.  It don't add up to having below 1000 students in 1 of the 2 schools.

Well if everyone that had the ability to play would play they would have 2 competitive teams in all sports (not dominant but competitive)! But it just seems to me that some very good talent choose not to play after 8th grade ball! I still can't figure it out. There is too much talent walking around that school that ain't in a uniform!

I never said they were competive.......I was talking about a rivalry between the 2 schools..........

As bad as i hate to say it CC will struggle until they drop the Wing T!!

 

Actually I think the O will surprise a few people this season. Senoir Casey Patterson returns as wing back this season.

i think a bubby told me that cchs would stay at 5a and the new school

would be 4a maybe 3a its first football seasons.and muffin cumberland county

does a good job for what they have.they always play cookeville tough

even if we beat them every year.I remember in the early 80's no

one wanted to play cumberland county.i played for cookeville then

we scrimage the jets my jr and sr. years the beat us really bad.

Cumberland counties problem is they just don't have any great football

players up there.I do think watt does his best with what hes got

It will really hurt the football program with the new school coming

in 06.

New schools definitely do cause a problem with the sports teams. We know from first hand at Oakland. Cumberland Cty had a really good team when we played them in the playoffs in 02. We were lucky to get out with the W. I will say tho that their field was in awful shape tho.

Gets pretty dang cold up here on the mountian! So the fields go down hill fast!

With Heath graduating Casey will be the focal point of the opposing D. Caleb Goss is the better of the 2 running backs in my opinion. Casey shined last year with all the attention on Heath.
