KOC Football KIL Jamboree

Well heres my only input on this discussion. Fulton beat powell twice preseason last year. Powell and fulton for that matter would have absolutely destroyed bearden last year. Now this year may be different dont know what fulton or bearden have back this year but as for last year that 3a school would have run ur 5a school back to the locker room crying. So my point and the only point that needs to be made to settle this discussion is that on any given year a 5a through 1a school can compete with any school in the state. I believe there is a game pretty early this year that pits a 4a powerhouse against a 2a team that i believe is the best team in the state especially with the addition of shiverdecker. nuff said

Good point. But to say that there is no difference from top to bottom in 3-a and 5-a football is just plain wrong.

South Doyle will dominate the jamboree and all the KIL this year.

They are the best team in Knoxville w/o question! The corner has been turned on the SOuth side

see what u did roadrunner u made me make another point in this conversation lol. Ur right the only difference is the numbe of kids in the student body. So it makes sense that with a larger talent pool to choose from 5A would be better then 3A as a whole. The more kids u have the more football players ur bound to have in your school. And when i say the more players i dont mean guys who are on the team i mean real football PLAYERS. AE and Fulton are both great football teams Alcoa a 2a school may be the best team in the state but as a whole as a general rule the higher the classification the better the team.

We could argue this point til we're blue in the face. The point is . . .as a general rule, you're exactly right. The larger the number of students in the school, the more (probably more talented) players you have on a team. . . . . general terms speaking of course. Otherwise, TSSAA wouldn't have different classifications. duh! But there are some very good teams in the lower classifications that could compete & beat some teams in the higher classifications. Now - can we get back to talking about the jambo?!

In the past I think the ticktets have been around $10. If you buy them from the school you support part of that money goes to that school I think for insurance or something so you want to be sure & go by the team you're for. I would say they'll go on sale late this week or early next week - I'll try to find out for sure for you.

I guess you want me to go up to FUlton, right :D . Nah, I'm going over to AE during my lunch break Friday to pick up some tickets.

I think the tickets are $8.00 in advance, $12.00 at the gate..
