Knox Central got a new kicker who will be a senior this year. He made a 57 yard field goal in the passing league last week, if that counts.

Caks Jeremy Park is going to do great this year he has already gotten letters from harvard and vandy to name a few and if you cant tell from those schools hes a smart kid too

Logan O'Connor, 6-1, 175, Jr. Knoxville Halls. could be better than his brother, Ian, who does all of the kicking for Marshall University and was the first Kicker of the Year in Tenn, Mr. Football, 2002. Logan may be the ony bright spot for my debils on offense.

 

Ian will continue to do all of the kicking for marhsall & could play in the NFL.

Nathan Miller returns as punter/kicker for Tennessee High. De'Shaud Johnson is back for kickoff/punt returns.

Howard "Grandaddy" Gamble has turned out a number of great kickers at Franklin High School. David Campbell is headed to UT to kick as well as David Defatta to Marshall both All-State last year. Colby Smith was named SBC All-Conference at MTSU.

 

This year it's John Bell. Some may remember his older brother Joe, from two years ago, known for his special teams skill at returning punts and kickoffs (6) six for touchdowns. John has waited patiently behind the two Davids but now is prepared to shine.

 

This week he put 8 of 10 kick offs in the end zone and was 4 of 5 at FG of 50 yards. HIs hang time on punts may be the best we've seen in some time.

 

Look for another great special teams effort this year from Franklin under Coach Ken Curtis

John Bell has always been a good kicker in practice, his one weekness this next year will be experience. He has struggled in the games he got in the past two years on both punts and x-points. If he remember to line up at 13 or 15 yards on punts, instead of 18 like at Dickson County, he will be ok as long as he punts like he knows how to do and does not let the pressure from all the people watching get to him. Look for John to have a heck of a senior year.

 

Also at Franklin is Sam Spanjian. Watch for this young man, who will be a soph., to do well behind John if he slips up a lil. Sam has been a consistant kicker in practice from around 40 yards. "

 

Havent seen either of the two kick in a long time but i know with the help of Grandaddy they will be two of the best in the state over the next year.

His name is Lonas Seiber. He moved here from Germany, not only is he a stud kicker but he is a great Athlete as well.

Here In CC we've got Taylor Ports a soccer player who can absolutely bust a football. He's got plenty of distance, acuracy is his oly question mark!!
