....heard the score was 7-6 Lincoln County.  Does anyone know for sure?

Yes, the final score was 7-6 L.C. Basically we made our extra point and D.C. missed theirs.

The scrimmage started out with the jv teams going for the first qt. which came out scoreless. L.C. did drive down inside the 10 yd. line but threw an interception which ended the drive. L.C. got on the board in the third qt. on a pass from soph. Qb. Chris Shelton to Dominique Brooks. The pass was about 8 to 10 yards and Brooks just turned it back up the sideline and outran the defenders to the endzone.

Then soph. kicker R.J. Sandmeyer trotted on the field and calmly kicked the extra point, 7-0 L.C.

D.C. scored in the fourth on a 9 yd. run by the tailback(didn't have a roster) and missed the extra point, 7-6.

I was impressed with D.C.'s defense, which looked very strong and ran very well to the ball. D.C. 's offense ran the ball pretty well against the Falcon defense racking up a little over 100 yds on the ground. D.C.'s passing game struggled going 0 for 11 passing.

D.C. had several good looking running backs that ran strong as well as showed good speed and quickness. Overall D.C. looked much better than they looked at this time last year.

On a rather bad note it appeared that L.C. lost jr. fullback Ben Burchum with a possible ankle injury, and the bad thing is he broke his ankle last year in the scrimmage against D.C. and was lost for the year, maybe this time it won't be as bad.

L.C. looked pretty good at times and not as good at others. The offense was inconsistent and had problems running the ball at times. Both Qb.'s looked pretty good at times, and both can run the ball very well as throw it, and there's not any drop off in talent between the two.

Running backs Quan Buchanan and Jeremy Ramsey both had good runs at times and at others had no where to go. Soph. fullback/linebacker Matt Moran looked very good on bothsides of the ball, running the ball hard on offense and making some good hits on defense. Jr. Receiver Dominque Brooks looked very good catching the ball with 4 catches on the night and showed he knew what to do with it when he got it, turning a 10 yard catch into a 39 yd. td.

L.C. has a lot of work to do to get ready for Franklin next Friday night, who from what I've been told throws the ball all over the field.

Good Luck to D.C. on the year, they came in and showed a lot of class during the game.
