probably not the best record of all the lebanon teams but you would have to be crazy to say that lebanon has ever had as much athletic talent as we did in 2000. the seniors who graduated in 01 consisted of logue, ross, dobson, forrest, miller, martin with jr's lanning, shaffer, jones, white, v. martin, nabors, trice, steelman. definately a stacked team that should have not had to play bradley central 1st round....lost 3 games that year by 7 points or less. go figure.

im doing well region. im still at school and probably wont make any games this season but ill still be watching on here and getting the scoop from back home. i watched several practices and a scrimmage while i was at home over the summer and leb's D looked pretty tough but the offense struggled quite a bit. our D will depend on how many games we win. tribble the QB is one of the toughest players i have seen play at lhs but he isnt getting to play D this year for injury reasons im guessing but he is a load. i wish them well this season but it could be tough. i dont really know why people give bobby b. such a hard time b/c me and the class of 03 think he is the best thing that happened to our school. no doubt about it. he is a competitor and a winner and turned our program from nothing to something in 1 year. we were picked to only win 1 game our sr. season and beat a very good oakland and blackman team and were one win from 2nd in the region. anyways, i hope u are doing fine as well. good luck to the pats and maybe ya'lls losing strwak could end this year...but i hope not...lol. i think we play yall next week anyways so it could be a good one. tell me how lebanon fares with playing 11 starters on each side of the ball. a new concept in lebanon.

Glad to hear you are doing well. We play Lebanon at Freedom Field on Week 8, which is coincidentally my birthday. SO>.......guess you know what I am hoping for. hahaha!!! and it ISN'T the OHS hot dogs!!

I had heard that yall's TB was now the QB. I think that they play Lavergne this week. Lavergne is no longer the whipping boy of the Region. They had a shut-out last week and came w/i 2 of beating a VERY good Smyrna squad in week 0. OHS only has 9 seniors this yr, but our Jr class is seasoned with many of them starters from last yr. We also have a phenomenal Freshman team. We got a kid from Lebanon who transferred in. His name is Clarence Jordan and he has proven his worth already. Seems he didn;t care for Bobby and sat out last yr as a soph. our #'s are up and we are beginning to recover from the Siegel school opening. We are still the 2 nd smallest 5A school in the state tho. But that only makes it that much sweeter. Hope to see you online again this fall........best of luck at school.

  • 2 weeks later...

I think everyone has forgotten about the blue devil teams that were back in the early 90's. These teams had the talent to win at least 2 championships during that period. They were consistently in the playoffs and went to the third round one time(should have won, but had a bad call on a kick return that put them ahead late in the game) During that time, it was the last time a blue devil team beat riverdale 6-0. That was when riverdale had alvin duke, fernando bryant, and other great players. these teams is by far the best lebanon teams that were ever put together.

Here's a couple of pretty good ones -- the 1974 Blue Devils went 10-1 and defeated Fayetteville 33-21 in the Mid-State Bowl after trailing 21-7 at half. Slot-I team on offense with QB Corky Cross running the speed option; Jeff Shockley was the TB and Randy Stafford in the slot. Only loss was in OT at Sparta to Toby Culley-led Warriors. Coach was Ralph Overton, now the princiapl at Dickson County. Former LHS great (player & head coach) Clifton Tribble ran the offense.

Also Medley's last team 1992 -- with Greg Triplett at QB, Jade Sellars, Steve Rose, Tony Cantrell in the backfield and big strong offensive line led by all-stater Geoff Atchley -- now LHS O-Line coach. Mo Thompson was a great WR and Shavez Jobe played TE. They beat Riverdale 6-0 or 7-0 in regular season (for state champ Riverdale's ONLY loss of the season), then lost a wild one at Knox. Farragutt in the quarterfinals.

Lebanon also reached the quarterfinals in 1995 with future Vanderbilt players Elliott Carson (TE) and Ryan Aulds (OT, DT). Chris Stafford, son of aforementioned Randy Stafford, rushed for over 1,000 with a mitt covering a broken hand. Tenn Tech signee Ron Seay played FS and WR.

Just wondering Eddie, was that win over Riverdale when Coach Moose, now at OHS was their defensive coordinator?

I saw several rip n roaring OHS/ LHs games back in the late 80's. It was always us or LHS that won the old District 7 championship. The top 2 teams went to the playoffs in those days and it was always us and them that went every yr. We would play them late in the season and it was always for the championship. They were well disciplined and well coached.I think both teams always knew they had been in a GAMEEEEEE........very physical.

    • Upperman White County both will be loaded. Dyersbirg and South Side will be a handful as well. Getting about that time in about 3 weeks we start watching summer scrimmages. Dyersburg loaded loaded loaded with talent. Most talent ever I have seen in their program.
    • We, SP, blanked them 10-0 in sectional game during 21 season.
    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
