It's to late!

When is it too late to let kids come out for football? Only new students to a school should be allowed to come out after practice begins. That's what I think. I here of some schools that let kids still come out. I feel this is so unfair to those kids who have been there all the time.

good topic it is unfair to the other guys who have worked their butt off all summer long to pre-pair for the season and then a kid wonts to come out one week before the season and possibly get to play. thats just wrong

Why do some coaches let kids still come out? I bet if he didn't look like a player he would not be allowed. I think this is spitting in the face of every kid who has been there all this time.

here's a dumb reason for this. since we as fans judge our teams on their won loss record and base how good a coach is on that same basis. maybe just maybe these players might be able to contribute depth and might actually be good enough to start (who knows) in order to help the team win.

I think you have to start the sport by 1st grade to ever be any good. By the time you hit second grade you have lost all chances of ever being all that you can be. JMHO.

I believe a good coach is one who coaches his team to the best of their ability. My old high school is having problems right now with the number that came out for the summer practice. I believe the new coach has made it clear who his team is. They might not win a game this year but they're playing as a team and with the same team it's had since the beginning.
