after a much improved showing in week 1, the publics now only trail 23-7. looking at the upcoming matchups, week 2 appears to be a chance to close that gap a little!

all right,

now we are getting some picks in.

i know it is a lot less satisfying than the usual name calling and self pity,

but i think i have come up with a way to sweeten the pot...

 

what we need is a way to keep score,

and declare the ultimate public-private expert.

and i have just the thing.

i went back over the first two weeks,

and simply gave everyone a point for every game they were off.

 

low score is the leader (the cross country in me).

in order to allow more people to get in on the fun,

for any week that a person has no pick,

they get the highest score for that week plus one.

 

so get your picks on in there folks.

thats the only way you can lay claim to that prestigious title:

the ultimate private-public expert!

I have not been on this forum in a while, get me up to speed. You are saying that even with the multiplier in effect, the privates are beating the publics 30-17?

WOW, I guess the multiplier was not large enough. Maybe moving the privates up TWO classes would make more competitive games.

i am not saying anything about the multiplier, nor does the data, at this point.

these are all the public-private games, including many that are not region games, some even between public and d-2 teams.

when there is a lot more data, i will probably separate the region games, just to see.
