Houston 1 Centennial 0

Centennial played without Anna Fisher (out with injury) and starting keeper.

Centennial has three great opportunities to score in last 2 minutes, but could not get ball in the net.

Houston is the most physical high school team I have ever seen. In a close called game, they could be in trouble. In this game, the refs let teams play and to Houston's credit they played it physical to the hilt. Both Morgan Thomas and Carolyn Davis went out of the game temporaily with injuries after hard hits from Houston players. If you go up for a header, expect to be knocked down by Houston player. However, if the refs are not calling it, Houston played to their strength.....physical play.

Good game by both teams.

ECS scored 4 goals on someone.

Was it the starting keeper you referred to?

did ECS score 4 goals on the "starting" keeper?

After a 3.5 hr bus ride and a very physical game with Houston, an injured Centennial team ran completely out of gas for their 2nd game of the day against a good ECS team and lost 4-2. The 1st goal for ECS was scored by a Centennial player and 2 others on indirect kicks just out of the box. Refs were not allowing any physical play and Centennial didn't make adjustments from the physical game the refs allowed in the Houston game. Centennials starting keeper was back but had no chance of making the saves on 3 of the 4 goals.

If they make it I don't see why they're in trouble. Everyone coming to the state will come with a full tank. There won't be any 3.5 hour bus ride followed by 2 games in the same day.

i hate break but all the top 10 teams take long road trips but when they lose they don't make the long trip has a excuse for losing so they better get used to taking long trips because if they don't they are in trouble

I don't see why anyone can't knock off Houston....they only win by usually one goal....1-0 with White Station....they better watch out come state time....it could take just one to beat them...could be ANYBODY!!!!!

when you play defense like they do you only need one goal there physical play can get in the other teams head but the only way i see anybody beating them is if someone hits 2 or 3 direct free-kicks of course it is hard to attack when you are laying on the ground
