I HAVE SEEN WAVERLY PLAY TWICW THIS YEAR AND I WILL HAVE TO SAY THAT SOMEONE WILL HAVE TO STEP UP ON THE OFFENSIVE LINE AND BE A LEADER AND HOLD EVERYONE RESPONSIBLE FOR PUTTING FORTH THE BEST EFFORT THEY CAN. IT SEEMS LIKE THEY ONLY BLOCK WHEN THE PLAY IS COMING THEIR WAY OR THEY FIOND THEMSELVES IN A TOUGH SITUATION. THEIR DEFENSE IS STRONG BUT NEEDS TO PLAY MORE DISCIPLINED OR THEY WILL GET BURNED BY BACKS MAKING A CUTBACK AND NO ONE FLOWING TO THE BALL LOOKING FOR A EASY KILL SHOT. AS FAR AS THEIR SCHEDULE GOES I SEE THEM BEING IN EVERY GAME THEY PLAY. IT IS JUST UP TOP THEM HOW GOOD THEY WANT TO BE. THIS TEAM HAS REAL POTENTIAL.

just wonderin....which 2 games did you go to......cuz the last to games i went to (houston co. and adamsville) have showed great improvment from their first game....their line has been doin pretty good on blockin now...every once in a while someone might git through but not as often....and also at houston co. our backs did awsome, they intercepted a couple of throws....the only problem that waverly might have is their special teams, they got an awsome kicker, but a kicker usually aint much good if you aint got any one to tackle after the ball is caught....

If you don't think the Tiger line is holding their own you should have been at Montgomery Central last night. The line dominated AAA mont. central. Waverly dominated Houston County limiting them to only 39 yards but gave up the kickoff return when Co. Graves had put in 5 subs and the other touchdown was on a fumble in the endzone. As far as the PA announcer, he needs to learn to keep his microphone off during plays. Also, leave the music off during the plays which can be a penalty.

who is going to tell me the person that trashed the Houston County PA announcer last week from Waverly. Seems to me if Waverly worried as much as what happens on the field instead of off, they might have a little better record.

Houston county was never in the game. It wasn't the PA announcers fault.

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
    • That's a fair line. But if it's not over, that's a big problem.
    • RR, you think that changes this year, or at least improves? I know they had a couple of talented young receivers last year that made some plays later in the year. Defensive back was a struggle against any team that was above average at throwing the ball.
    • You would think they got a bunch of interest
    • You would think with football just three months away more would be talking. There's only so much a person can say about someone allowing the field to get painted without asking their boss who would have said ((((((((  ALE NO ))))))))) or all the other BULLS#!T they've done as they lead Maryville High into the new age of WOKE in a conversative town. I'm ready for some football news without hearing something coming out of 825 that Power Munger has done to cap off the week.
