bcj40,

As you well know our Debils and Panthers have traded wins for the last few years with the home team winning. If the Debils get there work done tomorrow night, believe me they will be ready to beat Powell. Powell IMO is way overhype. They think they have smith and watts and those should be enough. Now both of those boys are good, but it takes 11 to win.

Lets just be the fire out of the dragons and then we will talk about Powell next week. If you go to the game, be carefull. Work has me tied down, but I hope to be there next week.

Unfortunately John Peavy is out of action. I think he got hurt in a jv game. Korey Myers didn't even dress to play this year. Maybe he will next year. Brandon Dutton is playing a lot on defense and looking good.

Hey guys. I am an old Halls player and I remember in the early 80's when Powell had two great players and Halls was an underdog then too. Their names were John Bruhin and Darryl Smith. Funny how history repeats itself. Oh by the way Halls won that game.

Did you know Andy Low, Tommy Burnette and Sott Carpenter all seniors in 79-81 i think?

Well, to be honest with you the best linebacker to come out of halls was probably coach Julian, in my opinion. He was being recruited by Ole Miss and a few other big name colleges before he broke his leg in a game his senior season. His younger brother was telling the team about how coach Julian tried to get his leg taped up so he could go back out and play, even with it broken. Julian was for sure one of the meanest guys on the field when he played.

    • I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.
    • I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back
    • That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef
    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
