Here's the way the region looks so far:

TEAM (W - L)

Beech (3 - 0)

Kenwood (2 - 1)

PORTLAND (2 - 1)

Mt. Juliet (2 - 1)

Clarksville (2 - 1)

Springfield (1 - 2)

Rossview (0 - 3)

Clarksville NW (0 - 3)

Kenwood and Mt. Juliet clash this week along with Portland and Clarksville turning that four way tie for second into a two way tie. Of course if Rossview somehow manages to beat Beech this week, then we will have a three way tie for first.

;) Stranger things have happened. ;) I'm really beginning to like this region. ;)

PPride, what did you think of the portland kenwood game last friday night? Have not heard your comments!

I posted in the Kenwood vs. Portland thread. I didn't see the game because I was in Knoxville. Sounds like you guys made some key int's that stopped a couple of possible scoring drives and our kicker missed his first FG of the year. The game could have easily gone our way but that's why they play the game on the field. Congrats to the Knights! :D

Well PP you can make MJ 2-2, and Kenwood 3-1 now! The Bears need to regroup and get ready for Beech at home next week - I know the boys will!

Good luck this week, and you are right that this could be VERY interesting, and fun to watch!

Go Bears!

Tough luck MJ. I told you not to let them Knights joust you this week! Kenwood's "D" is tough, as I'm sure you are aware of now. They've got a chance at winning out now unless Clarksville, Springfield, or Rossview can step up to the challenge and knock a Knight off his horse.

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
