Tonight's the Night!

Feel like I'm talking to myself-

Preds looked great tonight-defensemen flying up the ice, Kariya all over the place, a much improved team and DEFINITELY a very fast skating team.

Huge for them to get this first win in the first game.

Good job and good luck-they look like they'll be a fun team to watch.

It will be interesting to see if the officials contiinue to call the interference and hooking as close as they are now. If so the Preds will have a good year with speed on offense and defense. I did notice a problem in clearing the front of the net. Maybe this year we'll send some guys to the front of the goal.

I was at opening night....... What a rush!!!!! Took down a team that was one step from the Stanley Cup....... Didn't lose in the pre-season.......

This can be a big year. I thought the refs did a good job letting them play in the corners but not allowing the obstructions in open ice or allowing the pick plays. I didn't like the pre season....calling too many picky penalities..... Let 'em bang in the corners...not hold in the corners..... and keep the open ice open..... There was several times the Preds used speed to bounce the puck off the boards and go by the defenseman.... in the past the defenseman would hook, grab and obstruct. If the ice is left open, while allowing the physical play on the boards the game will be good.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
