LOL! Some of you guys are crazy! :rolleyes:

But anyway, on the subject, I remember a girl that used to play touch on the play ground with us when we were in middle school and she was fast as lightning and meaner than a snake and she decided she was going to try to play football that year and I remember in practice, nobody wanted to hit her, so finally the coached jumped everyone and said that if she wanted to play then treat her like a guy and so she was treated that way and she stuck in there for a few plays before deciding that this was a mans game! She found out it was alot different from playing touch or watching it on TV!

I also remember that same year in Middle School, we played a team that had a girl on it and we were kicking off and I ran down field and got there first and I didnt want to hit her so I just pushed her down lightly and she hurt her ankle and I apologized quickly and started looking around for my Mom, because I knew she was fixing to slap me for doing that to a girl! :(

Girls can play with the guys in football because there is no other football programs offered girls.

I think a guy should be able to play on a girl`s volleyball team based on the same merits that allow girls to play football. In fact I would love to see a group of guys try out for their school`s volleyball team. There is no doubt they would win a state championship. I say this mainly for the fact I think they should have men`s volleyball in Tennessee. It`s only fair in the mean time that as long as volleyball is offered as a women`s sport and not offered as a men`s that males be allowed to participate. Title IX says that all things should be equal, well the law can`t discriminate against any guy that wants the opportunity to play volleyball if it`s offered.

Yes they can. But should not be able too. Guys cannot play on girls volleyball or softball teams, CAN THEY?

Softball = baseball

Football = cheerleader.

I've seen guys on the cheerleading squad; why shouldn't a girl be able to play? If a girl is tough and can take the pain, why not?

This is ridiculous!!!! In my opinion it would be idiotic to play..... First of all you would get hurt really bad, if not killed..... Give me a break..... I would love to see some girl at linebacker and see one of the areas best fullbacks or tailbacks come through and make her quit on the spot after getting the crap knocked out of her.... I don't care who you are, you cannot compete with guys who are benching 300 plus, squating 400 plus and clinging 250 plus..... If you want some, strap on those pads and see how long that you last...... If you are a girl thinking about playing please think twice about it, or don't think at all about it........You will get killed.......I'm out.....

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
