How many stadiums have the new aritfical turf (they may call it field turf)? I was told that MBA was going to put it in after their season but I don't know if that is true. I do know that teams in PA, TX and CA are going to it over natural grass. It only makes since when you have varsity football, jv football, freshmen football, mens & womens soccer, and mens & womens lax all using the same field.

I heard a coach say it cost $500,000 to put in and is guaranteed to last 10 yrs. During the same 10 yrs, a normal field cost $450,000 to maintain.

I like AE's stadium. Yep, it's older, but where else are you gonna find not one not two but three REAL concession stands, TWO of which make the best chicken wangs you'll ever eat at a high school game. Their track looks like it's brand new, The scoreboard is in good shape and the field is emmaculate.

It probably only hols 3000 or so, but I was impressed for a 3A, inner city school.

This may sound crazy but I like the fell of the smaller stadiums such as Clinton's. I just thank those smaller stadiums make you fell like your close to the action.

Big stadiums like Blakenship can feel empty when you are playing a lesser opponent who doen't have a great fan base. But when it is packed you can't beat it.

    • You are 100% correct that this is a "BLACK EYE" on public education in the State of Tennessee.  According to my father who is well into his 80's academic cheating has been happening in the public schools across the State of Tennessee since the early 1940's.
    • I tend to agree with you on this one. If SF stayed in Region 6, they would’ve been the 2 seed last year and probably won a playoff game. They weren’t going to compete with Dresden or Union City last year, and Lake County had to beat them in the last 2 minutes with Calvin Mullins on the field.  A 2-seed in Region 7 is not that much of a stretch with all that Dresden lost. SF is not in the same class as McKenzie, UC, or MASE, but few teams in West Tennessee are, so I don’t really understand the hate.
