I have been seeing posts about AE possibly being in trouble with TSSAA.......Can anyone give my info about this?

Thats were I saw it and there was a post in the AC vs Union Co. thread that someone thought AE was playing ineligible players. Just wanted to know some info about it.

If something has happened......how would that affect the playoff brackets?

It would make a big difference. I could bring Fulton in for sure, AC, and Livingston Academy. It would put Fulton at Second (if they beat LA), LA 3rd, and AC 4th. I think that is how it would be.

One of the posts said it right though. These are just rumors. Nothing has even been mentioned about AE being in trouble from anyone that matters. Who started the rumor in the first place. If it were true, why is the athlete ineligible.

If they had been using illegal players, did those players play last night, or did the stand on the sidelines. Is that what helped Kingston to a victory.

I don't think it is true, but as far as overage- I don't think a player can turn 19 before either August or September before the senior year.

here is the TSSAA rule on the age requirment

A student shall be ineligible in high school if he or she becomes 19 years of age on or before Aug. 1 or in junior high if he or she becomes 16 years of age on or before Aug. 1.

My only question is, Why is there two threads with this same topic? Like I said before, many of you are just trying to hurt AE while they're down already. Like one of the posters said on here, who are the illegal players?

Turtle, don't get all worked up. It's RUMORS. This is the ONLY complaint I have about these open message boards is that rumors like this get started because all it does is hurt the kids. What people evidently don't realize is that 9 times out of 10 the person that starts a rumor like this ends up being the one to look stupid.
