What about Oakland???? and where would you put them in the region

They will probably be #3. Riverdale should be really good though, there were only 3 seniors last year so alot of younger guys got valueable experience. That will surely pay off. I am also confident that they could beat Siegel out for winning the district, they probably wont, but it all comes down to doing it

Its really going to be close bewteen Oakland and Riverdale for 2nd in this district. Intially, id give the edge to the Warriors, but the Patriots are improving pretty well and they have the best coachng staff in the district, so who knows what will happen. Riverdale wont really be at full strength till Christmas or so when their fball players can get their legs in shape for bball. Good team, just dont know if they have what it takes to make that extra step into the glass house in march

1) siegel

2) Riverdale

3) Cookeville

4) Oakland

Riverdale should be really good this year. I just watched them tonight and at spurts they looked really good. They are obviously very thin right now without Scott Thomas, Kit Hartsfield, and Tyler Lusk out with Football. And Michael Young out with a back injury.

Riverdale WILL be the deepest team in the district once again. I see the starting line up looking like this. 1- Kit Hartsfield 2- Scott Thomas 3- Andrew Barrett 4- Kevin Smith 5- Jesse Mayfield. And I see 3 big contributers off the bench, Tee Burnett, Tyler Lusk, and Michael Young. I think Scott and Kevin are 2 of the top 5 players in the district. I think sophmore Michael Young will be one of the better players to ever come through the program and will be one of the best sophmores in the district this year.

Unless Riverdale is planning on playing about 12 kids every night, they wont be deeper than Oakland, who has been been playing 11-12 guys for every game in the preseason. However, deeper doesnt always mean better.............

    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
    • I heard Alabama was at Antioch practice and Colorado has offered QB. Hoping the Bears have a great year.
