Guest catfish-hunter
I think that those were all the Sycamore guys I had making the team when a mock thread on this topic went up two or three weeks ago. I also had CJ Morris (#78) making the team from Sycamore because he was well-deserving. Congrats to everyone from every team that made the 2005 Region 4-3A All-Region squad. All of those young men listed were well-deserving and when you look at the list quite a bit of those young men will be playing football in Region 4-3A next year. Pearl-Cohn, Sycamore, and Station Camp have the most returning next year BUT Greenbrier & White House are never teams that you can say "rebuild". Macon Co. also returns a good number of players, although they lose the most important player to one single team in this entire region in Michael Dallas, to a team that really overachieved this year. DeKalb Co. is still a couple of years away from being competitive in this region. The 2006 High School Football Season will be here before you know it folks Edited November 21, 2005 by catfish-hunter
NoDoubt
Congratulations to all. Additional props to the Cats and the GB staff for what they achieved after losing 23 seniors and moving into another region. You again made us proud..... EZBeingGreen
Way to go, guys! Everyone on the list deserves it. You were all amazing to watch this year. Great ball players that have a lot of grit. Hats off to Justin Pigg! Bored during yesterday's Titans game and watched the end of that CSS replay again. That Play of the Game is a Greenbrier classic. And hats off to Kirk Williams. One classy coach.
letsgodevils
I want to say congratulations to Logan Abernathy, who's season ended on a huge 58-yard return against Beech with us trailing two touchdowns in the first half. We got a field goal before the half and game back to win the game in the second half. Logan was a senior and with the knee injury never got to play again but that was the play that may have turned around our season at 1-3. Congratulations, guys, on these awards in a very tough region. Guest catfish-hunter
should dallas and ladd be the all state 1st team runningbacks. NO! First team backs should be Rogan (Fulton) and Elrod (David Lipscomb). Ladd, Dallas, and Council all had great seasons in this region without question. Just curious on who and how selection was made.

Just curious on who and how selection was made. All-Region selections are not handled by the media, they are selected by a panel made up of all the coaches from Region 4-3A. The number of individuals per team is based on record. The award winners are not selected by record nor do they count against the team's overall total. They are all selected individually. Other awards, like All-State, All-Midstate, All-County and so forth, will be selected by media.
