Harpeth over Cheatham in OT

1st half was all Cheatham, because of second/third/fourth chance opportunities. Harpeth finally got it together in the fourth quarter, forcing turnovers and knocking down shots. Lawson and Forscythe had a great game. Mendenhall, Ensminger, and Richardson also played well. Mitchell knocked down a couple off big shots as well to help. Coach Carr did a good job of preparing his team for Harpeth, but it appears Coach Junkins made the changes to get the win and out coached him in the final minutes. It ought to be a great game win Cheatham comes across the river.

I wasnt at the game but just from reading stuff and seeing that the game winning shot was a 3 hit with 2 seconds left, it would not appear as though cheatham was out coached. Especially if harpeth is supposed to run away with the district this season and theyre supposed to have so much to work with! Cheatham has struggled the last couple seasons when traveling to harpeth but hopefully theyll turn it around and play like theyre capable.

Talented and skilled players are much eaiser to coach than young and inexperienced players. By the Harpeth fan's own admission, this is your year. I agree that your team is very talented, but to say that Coach Carr was out coached is giving Junkins way too much credit. He did a fine job of putting his team, a superior team, in a situation to win a ballgame that everyone on that side of the river had already marked up as a win. Coach Carr took a far less talented team and prepared them to challenge the district's best team, and gave them more than they bargained for. The way I see it, Coach Carr had to do more coaching to have his team in the game than Junkins did to win the game.

First off I am going to just say one thing about the refs I hope we dont have them friday. Next lawson was great she gets everybody involved and will get district mvp and that is the final to that score. Harpeth played the worst game i have seen them play all year and if they play like that against sycamore they will only win by about 10 so that is all i got to say. OH and great shot salem richardson you made my night thats my gurl.

First off I want to say I hope we dont have those refs this friday. Lawson is the best in the district case dismissed. And that is the worst game i have seen harpeth play all year and if they play like that friday they will only win by ten. OH great shot salem you made my day and you are the best last second shooter this year and i dont think anybody can argue in this district.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
