I think Soddy will win in a fairly close game.

You were right but considering Owls 2nd best scorer wasn't at the game. Wood had 48Hrs notice after never seing team, and only had 1 senior I thought it was a heck of a game. SD started up 9-0 in 1:30 from that point on Owls switched to Man defense and outscored SD 45-40. Marshall played shutdown defense on McNeil and overall Owls played their guts out. Thought Coach Wood did great job being up 1 with ball with 1:45 to go Marshall slipped on floor and turned ball over (not his fault) then to late cheap 1 on 1 Fouls.

 

Heck of a game Owls played their guts out. Wood outcoached Shumate and it was just a great game. Soddy-Daisy had much better, bigger and more sound team but almost got beat by hustle and coaching.

They all got suspended for 2 games Chris coached the JV game Laura was their choice and she did a heck of a job. )

Wow. Ooltewah is just not the same team as they have been in the past few years are they. I know everyone thought last years team was going to be down after the loss of a few of there best players and they surprised everyone. Now after losing another great bunch of kids I thought they would rebound. But I guess they couldnt recover after losing last years bunch. I see that murray is really trying to carry his part. Hopefully they can pick it up. Congrats to coach wood on good coaching job.

Coach Woods, knows what she's doing when it comes to basketball. With her experience with coaching soddy last year, she helped the boys know how to guard Soddy's point guard. Tney did one heck of a job playing defense against them, and their foul shot % was pretty good. From what I hear, she told them in the locker room, that all they had to do on the free throw line was to do everything theyare comfortable with shooting but rememeber to follow through with your wrist. They shot very well, and they actually looked like a guys team that plays offense. She is an amazing coach, and it was a very close game, Ooltewah could have easily won that game. Soddy really did get lucky. Good Fight to both teams
