Unaka's Lady Rangers defeated Perry County by one.

Looks like we at least have a consesus on One and Two; well, except for ole Sunny.

 

Where does everyone get off thinking that Elizabethton is #1? Who have you beaten? Hopefull the Highlanders will get a shot at the Cyclones in the High Country tournament. Your guard play is not what it should be and the big girl can be shut down if needed.

I had Unaka sixth in "talent/experience" to start the season; looks like they're finally living down to expectations. The Lady Rangers will have to toughen up to be competitive. Granted, Clay County played well, but the twenty-point margin-of-defeat is what landed the Lady Rangers in Sixth Place. They appeared distracted after their good start against the Lady Bulldogs.

 

And things get no easier. Perry County, with their two returning All Staters, shooting guard, Kristal Edney and power forward, Alicia Weatherly, eagerly await the Lady Rangers arrival for the 11:00 A M game at Gaglinburg Pittman.

I'm getting conflicting reports from Gatlinburg. I must make the drive down there sometime today. I should be ashamed for not attending the game against Perry County.

Unaka was defeated in round two of the Gatlinburg Pittman Tournament by four or five points on Thursday. They're scheduled to play at Four P M Friday.
