In what was one of the best games of the week so far Jackson County beat Cumberland County 48-44. Both teams played very good defense and that #11 for Cumberland County has to be one of the fastest players i've seen. Great game. :justwrestle:

yes sir she is a blaze! that game was ugly as far as CC is concerned!

Wow. I'm surprised JCHS was able to beat CCHS. Would like to have seen it. :thumb:

Jackson County has had 3 bad games this year so far, losing two of them and one going into overtime before winning it. They need to put it together to beat a very good Livingston Academy team thats for sure. The game was a defensive game for the most part with the score being 18-18 at the half. Everyone always talks about an ugly game when they play against JC and thats because they get after it on defense and there just are no easy shots. It was a very exciting games with very few fouls being called until the end when CC was fouling to stop the clock. JC stepped up and made their free throws. The big shot came from one of the Ross twins (i'm not sure which one they are identical! :thumb: ) with about a minute to go she hit a 3 pointer to put JC up by 3 and after that they just held on. It was an exciting game for sure! :D

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
